It had him.
For a week-- maybe longer-- it ran the show, using his body to do god knew what. At the end there was blood, a dead stranger, and the memory of being silenced inside his own head.
The demon gloried in destruction and death, but Sam was puzzled. Why overlook the obvious? Why hadn't it killed him when it had the chance?
He remembers that it wanted to.
And he remembers struggling to get out, because he would have helped the demon do that, so long as he could take it right down with him in the end.
