I'm not in Love
I'm not in love...
It's just you're around a lot, I'm bound to talk to you every now and then.
It's not like Ron and Hermione have a monopoly on friendship with you. And I'm
sure any girl would blush at being told she looked nice when she wasn't expecting
it.
I'm not in love...
I only write to you because Ron is so pig-headed and spending the
whole summer with him is interminable. Besides, it's not like I'm sending you
heart shaped boxes of chocolate... well, more than once, and I only sent that
because it was your birthday and that was the only type of gift shop I could get
to the day before.
I'm not in love...
You're just a really good Seeker and I can't help but admire your
grace and skill on a broomstick. Particularly because I'm on your team. So if I
stare, it's just because I'm trying to copy your form, not just to look at you.
I'm not in love...
It's just a sad phase I'm going through. Dean broke up with me, he
said I was still hung up on you (which is totally untrue) So if I "just want to talk"
don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to flirt.
I'm not in love...
I had perfectly reasonable reasons for staying at Hogwarts over winter
break. There was lots of studying to be done, I am in O.W.L. Year after all, you
know what it's like (though you never seemed to study very hard) It wasn't just
that I was trying to spend more time with you.
I'm not in love...
Just because I hung our picture on the wall (the one where your arm is
around me after I hugged you after winning the Quiddich Cup again) doesn't mean
anything. I just want to remember winning the Quiddich Cup... well, winning again
at least, I lost the picture of last year. Besides, the picture covers up a nasty stain.
So please don't ask for it back.
I'm not in love...
Just because I can't stop smiling when you look at me, can't stop
missing you when you're gone, can't stop fantasizing about you when I should be
doing work. None of that means I love you.
I'm not in love...
...But you sure make me fell like I am.
A.N.: I must insist, I don't know what brought me to write this... honestly, I never write this kind of fanfiction. The properties of this fic which represent things I do not do are as follows:
1. It's a songfic, I hate songfics (it's roughly a songfic, not completely, the repeated phrase and a bit of the wording ect.)
2. Fluff/ no plot, stories revolve around plot, not emotion, to have no action is to have no story.
3. Harry Potter fanfiction seen from the eyes of a character other than Harry. I don't really have a problem with this, It's just something that I don't do.
4. It starts with one or the other party in love with the other when according to canon at the end of Book 5 they are clearly neither in love and more than that, they aren't even THINKING about each other in that way... (yet)
(of course, since now they have only two books left to fall in love, and there's so much left to explain about the past that there's going to be little time for two people who have been distanced from each other since the very first book to fall in love that I have little hope they will ever be together in anything but fanfiction... even though they would be so good together) okay enough ranting, now it's time for shameless self promotion... if you can read R stories, read my other fanfiction: The Butcher's Bill... I think it's pretty good, but I get the feeling it doesn't get very many readers because of it's R rating and it's infrequent, but sizable updates.
