Minako's Valentine's Day
Today was February 14th, in other words its Valentine's Day. Minako Aino was getting ready for school. She was oblivious to the fact that it was Valentine's. She walked into the school building as if nothing new was happening. At one point during lunch, she noticed that her friends were giving out chocolates to the guys. "That's kinda strange. The girls are giving chocolates to the boys? Doesn't really matter to me though," Minako thought.
After school that day, Minako went to CROWN Game Center. She went into the Control Room to meet with her friends, and fellow guardians Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, and Makoto Kino. Everyone was acting normal except for Usagi. Usagi was acting like a giddy school girl who just got candy. It wasn't really that odd, but then again, it was at the same time.
"Hi V-chan," Usagi said happily
"Hi Minako-chan," the rest of the girls said.
"Hey everyone, how's it going?"
"It's going great for me! I'm really excited," Usagi said enthusiastically. The rest of the girls went back to what they were doing. This made Minako suspicious. Usagi was never as happy as she was today. Minako decided to investigate the situation.
"Hi Ami-chan" Minako said as she walked over to Ami. "Does anything seem a bit strange to you? Like anything new happening to Usagi-chan?"
"Nothing seems out of the ordinary to me," Ami replied. Ami then noticed something was off. Minako had no clue of what day it was. Ami decided to brush it off, thinking that Minako was just playing a little joke on everyone. Minako was about to ask Rei if something was off, but decided to ask Makoto instead.
"Hi Mako-chan, how's it going?"
"It's going good. What about you Minako?"
"Same, but something feels odd about today."
"What do you mean?" While Makoto was replying to Minako's question, Usagi was passing by. She decided to stay within earshot to listen in on the conversation.
"Well it's just…I can't really explain it."
"Can you give examples of how this day felt odd-" Usagi couldn't believe what she was hearing. She grabbed Minako by the arm and made her sit down on a stool.
"V-chan, what's wrong with you?" Usagi said angrily.
"I don't know! Something is just odd today. I saw a bunch of girls giving the guys chocolates, and you were acting like a kid in a candy store. This day is just so weird!" Minako said. It shocked Usagi and Makoto to hear this.
"Um…Minako," Ami said as she arose from her seat. "I believe this will answer all your questions." As Ami spoke, she pulled out her planner and handed it to Minako. Once Minako opened the planner to the date, and was shocked to find out that it was Valentine's Day.
"Uhh..." Minako sat there blushing as red as a tomato. The rest of the girls were laughing at Minako. After Minako finally got over her embarrassment, she laughed as well.
"Your one senshi of love and beauty all right," Usagi said. The 5 girls continued their laughter and couldn't wait to see if Minako would forget next year.
