-Author's Note-
This is a love story about Steven and Connie, from the Cartoon Network show "Steven Universe". I do not own the rights to any of these characters, and the spacing might be a little different then the average bear's. I apologize if any one doesn't like my spacing, it's jsut how I prefer to right my stories.

-Thank you!-

"Ooh!"

*BOOM CRAKALAKA*

"I think that one was my favorite!" Connie cheered

*BOOM CRAKALAKA*

"I love fireworks with you, Steven."

I looked at Connie. We are both 17 now and I have deep feelings for Connie. I wonder if she feels the same about me, I wonder quite often. I love her speckled eyes that sparkle like diamonds, her hair that is so long and curls nicely, but most of all I love her smile. I could watch her smile and laugh for hours.

"I love fireworks with you too, Connie." We both giggled like kids. We merely aged on the outside, but on the inside we are the same. Connie rested her head on my shoulder.

Do you ever have those moments where you wish you could pause time and stay in them forever? Where everything is so perfect, and you realize I'm sure lucky to have this person in my life. Well, this was one of those moments.

I love Connie, I really do. How do I tell her?

-NEXT MORNING-
It's just a lazy day so far, nothing but me and the gems sitting around. Pearl has decided to try and make this 'CHORE DAY!' YAY! Where do I sign up? She should know by now she is the only one who enjoys cleaning.

"What cha' doin'?" Amethyst asked Pearl
"Cleaning these floors, have we washed them since Rose was alive?! They are disgusting!"
"Cool." Amethyst replied and continued to eat her chips

*Ding alin a ding*
I looked at my phone, it's Connie calling.
"Hey Connie!"

"Steven! Can you meet me at the beach in 5 minutes?"
"Oh yeah, sure Connie. You know it's right outside my house, right?"
"Duh! I just know you're doing nothing and I didn't want to have to wake you up for like, the 15th millionth time. Do you know how embarrassing it is to walk into your house alone?"
"It's not that embarrassing. You're basically family."
"Yeah, well… I'll just see you at the beach! Bye!"
"Bye Connie."
I hung up.
"Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, I'm meeting Connie at the beach. I'll be back soon. Have fun cleaning!" I tell them
"We are actually going on a mission. There is a gem artifact we have to recover in ancient gem ruins. We'll be back soon." Garnet responded
"Well, have fun then!" I replied

I throw on a tank top and jean shorts. I proceed to run down to the beach when I see Connie already there. "Connie! What's up?"

"Steven! I have great news!"
"Crying Breakfast Friends is re-running?"
"Steven!" She said while laughing "I got accepted!"
"What?" I answered, utterly confused
"Harvard accepted me!"
"That's great Connie! I'm so proud of you!"
She blushed. Connie looked so beautiful in that yellow sundress. "Thank you, I really hoped I'd make it. I leave in a month."
"One month?" I asked, disappointingly
"Yea…" She said, her voice trailing off
"I'm really going to miss you." I frowned
"I'll visit you as often as I can! I'll be home for the holidays, they just wouldn't be the same without you. You and the gems are more like my family then my parents. All they talk about is making me a doctor, and marrying a man who's rich. They don't care about what I think at all!" She started to cry
I took her hand, she looked at me with tears. I gulped. "Connie I love you." I sputtered. Good going Steven! I thought angrily.
"Steven, I love you too." Connie stopped crying.

She dove into my arms and we hugged.

We just sat there and hugged for awhile.
