Don't tell Santa
It was December the 16th and Mitch was home alone. Scott had left to go shopping with Kevin and even though he was invited Mitch decided to stay home. Needless to say he was starting to regret that decision.
He watched SpongeBob for an hour and then decided to bake cookies. By the time it was 3pm he had officially decided that he was bored and in danger of dying from said boredom.
He got up from the couch and decided to go and take a nap. He walked towards his and Scott's bedroom but changed his mind before he got to the door. Instead of walking into their bedroom he walked into the room adjacent which was the closet/dressing room.
He walked over to Scott's closet and grabbed his favourite flannel. It was the red and black chequered shirt with FLAWLESS printed on the back. As Mitch pulled the shirt on he saw a glimmer of shinny wrapping paper in the bottom of the wardrobe.
He bent down and pulled a pair of old shoes out which were covering a perfectly wrapped box. He turned the label over and saw his name written in Scott's beautiful writing. Mitch never considered himself a snoop but at soon as he saw the gift named to him he immediately wanted to unwrap it.
As he started to pulled back the paper he heard someone cough from behind him. In a fuss to stand up straight he banged his head on the closet door and groaned as pain shot through his head.
"How long have you been standing there?" Mitch groaned.
"A while" Scott replied smugly. He walked over to Mitch and hugged the shorter man.
"Why didn't you say something as soon as you saw what I was doing?" Mitch said as Scott kissed his head where he had hit it.
"I didn't want ruin the view" Mitch was confused for a moment before he remembered that he had been bending over with his back side pointing in Scott's direction.
"You're such a loser!" Mitch giggled. "I promise I wasn't snooping on purpose" Mitch said faking innocence.
"Oh really? Because I think you were doing it because you were bored and thought you wouldn't be caught" Scott said as if he knew exactly why Mitch had been looking in his wardrobe.
"Don't tell Santa please!" Mitch said as he played along. "I swear I've been a good boy all year."
"I don't know I think you don't deserve your presents now that I've found you looking for them before Christmas!" Scott said and started tickling his boyfriend. The smaller man tried desperately to get out of Scott's grip but failed. Scott manged to tickle Mitch onto the floor and now they were rolling around together.
"Please! Please stop! Mercy! Mercy!" Mitch repeated and after a while Scott decided that Mitch had had enough of his punishment.
"Now what does this lesson teach you?" Scott said as if he were Mitch's mother.
"Not to snoop for presents" Mitch replied as he took in a deep breath of air and snuggled into the taller man's chest.
"That's right" Scott chuckled and gently kissed Mitch's forehead. "Come on lets go take a nap" Scott said and stood up. He held out his hand for Mitch and they walked hand in hand to their bedroom.
They lay down together and snuggled under the covers. Silence filled the air but each other's presence seemed to be the exact right thing they needed.
"I love you Scotland" Mitch whispered in Scott chest.
"I love you too Mitchie!" Scott whispered back and kissed Mitch's forehead.
They fell asleep in the security of each other's arms.
