A.N: Hey ya'll. This is Kikay the Shark Girl 22. This is a poem I wrote for L, my favorite character from Death Note. I wrote this for his birthday just recently, and thought I could publish it here. Just so everyone knows; I've been in FFN since 2008...I've been into Death Note for quite a while and I am definitely hooked. This is my first fanfic in this category. I hope ya'll like this… :)

A man whose origins
Are little known
A strange man
He seemed to be
Mysterious and aloof
Eyes of onyx sheen
An endearing smile
Only a few have seen
Odd, he undeniably was
A misunderstood soul
An unlikely figure of greatness
He wore a mask
A mask of unruly appearance
A mask that hid his brilliance within
The will to win for justice
Rushed through his veins
Determined to hunt down
A ruthless predator
Whom not even he had seen
A battle began
A fight where he gave
