Oh, hey, what's up? I'm back, with another little drabble, since that's all I seem to be able to write. Now, I know I should be working on "ABC Challenge," but the plot bunnies had formed in my head for this little guy, literally ten minutes ago. So, I spent two minutes writing it and the other eight proofreading it. So, of course there are going to be some grammatical and/or spelling issues. Nonetheless, please enjoy! And, please, criticise in a constructful manner away!
TRANSLATION TIME!
Shidake Town - Verdanturf Town.
Pottaishi - Prinplup. Because I feel as though Piplup would eventually evolve.
Oh, what a glorious day!
What a glorious day, indeed. The sun was shining, the air was clean, and the day warm in the beautiful Shidake Town of Hoenn. A happy little tune was hummed out from a pretty little girl with dark blue hair and cobalt eyes, her hands holding a sparkling contest ribbon. Her Pottaishi was walking beside her, being much too large to be carried in her arms now that he's evolved, his chest puffed out in pride for his most recent victory. Hikari was never in a better mood. She practically skipped as she headed toward the Pokecenter, wanting to check in before she went out and got a quick bite to eat.
She entered through the automatic doors, walked toward the reception counter, and abruptly halted at the violet haired individual already there.
Oh. Damn. I wasn't expecting to see him. Glorious day gone, now.
Shinji turned around nodded at her in greeting as he headed for outside. "Troublesome," was all he said, a small smirk appearing on his lip.
Hikari fumed as he walked past her. He was almost to the doors when she spun on her heel and glared at him. "HI-KA-RI!" She yelled, startling ongoers and effectively gaining the attention of Shinji, stomping her feet in time toward the infuriating teen. "It's three syllables, you jackass," she started to pick up speed while still stomping. "How hard is it to actually remember my na – Oof!" The blunette had tripped over her feet in her advance toward Shinji, and was now sitting on the ground, face flushed in anger and embarrassment.
Shinji lightly chuckled as he held his hand out for her to grab. She stared at it in disbelief for a moment (could it be a trap?) before deciding to grab it. He hoisted her up onto her feet. Once she was settled, he tweaked her nose, smirked, and turned around, heading outside. "That's why you're Troublesome, Hikari."
She could still hear his laughter in her mind, even after the doors had shut, her palm tingling where he had held it, and her face still tinged pink.
Yep. All the glory of the day is gone, now.
