Hey everyone! This is my first fan fiction ever! And I wanted to do a Digimon because, well digimon is so epic! At first the digimon are not involved and it's just telling the story of Matt as a teenager and my OC character, Mimiko. Tell me if it's any good. And I will be posting this in parts so here is Part 1! Enjoy!

"Hey! Are you ready to rock?" Matt Ishida yelled to the crowd. Mimiko stood beside him; both of them had their guitars strapped around their necks.

The crowd screamed.

"We can't hear you!" Mimiko yelled into the mic.

The crowd got louder and Matt and Mimiko looked at each other with a smile.

"You've got a boy; you've got a girl,

Sittin' underneath a tree.

They sit there every day.

And even though, you may think, this is the way to be,

It may not always be that way.

You can't take nothing for granted!

You gotta live like today!

I turn around and I can see what's behind me,

I turn back around and I can see what's ahead!"

The song went on with the crowd cheering. When it was over the curtains closed and Mimiko and Matt went backstage to relax. They sat their guitars down and then sat down in two chairs.

"Good job out there!" Mimiko complimented.

He smiled, "You too!" they both started laughing.

"Oh, Mimiko! What time is it?" he asked. "Oh shoot!" she jumped up and checked her watch. "10:56 pm! I'm so dead!" she quickly grabbed her guitar and put it in her case then slung it around her shoulder. "I'll text you!" he said as she ran toward the door, waving goodbye.

She ran fast to the front of the stadium where her dad waited outside his car. "I'm sorry I'm late dad!" she said. He looked angry, "Get in; we're going home, now!" She followed her dad's instructions and got in the back seat of the small car.

He started the car and began to drive. "I'm sorry. . ." she said. "I don't want to hear it! I told you no later than 9:00 pm!" he yelled.

"I know! I'm sorry! The audience wanted"-- he cut her off, "I don't care what the audience wanted!" he scolded. "When I tell you something you need to listen!"

"But dad!" "No buts! Do you want me to ground you?" Mimiko wanted to yell back but she held her tongue because she didn't want to get grounded.

Just then her phone vibrated from within the front pouch of her guitar case. She grabbed it out and opened it.

Matt's picture appeared on the screen. It was a text. She opened it and read what it said,

Matt: "Hey that was a good show! You were awesome out there!"

She smiled. "Who was it?" her dad asked. "A friend." Was her reply. Her dad didn't like Matt one bit.

"Was it 'Matt'?" he asked, his voice sounding more angry. "And if it is?" she asked. She didn't care what her dad thought of Matt. She liked him. No, she loved him. She was just too afraid to show it.

"I don't like you talking to him! He is nothing but a troublemaker!" he yelled.
