What Makes You Say That?
Zabuza growled, literally growled at the scene before him. "Z-Zabuza!" Haku hiccupped, wide, fearful eyes gazing at his master. Zabuza opened his mouth to speak but stopped when the kidnapper stepped in front of Haku defensively. "I won't let you take him away from me! You're a monster compared to me!" the kidnapper exclaimed, gripping his swords tightly.
Feeling annoyance more than anger, the Demon of the Hidden Mist unsheathed his weapon and directed it at the kidnapper. "If you'd kept your mouth shut, I would've let you leave with all your limbs intact. But now I'm rethinking that since you just insulted me... Let's see how far you go without a head!" Zabuza rushed at the kidnapper, no trace of mercy in his eyes. "And who are you to judge me when you got no balls to take the kid when I'm around!"
Haku watched the battle ensue and knew it wouldn't last long. He wiggled and frowned, wondering why the stupid kidnapper had tied him this tight. I should've killed him myself. Brown eyes stared ahead as he began to count how many openings the captor had left him before Zabuza came along.
A pair of strong hands lifted him up, snapping him from his different scenarios of killing the kidnapper. He blinked as he was hoisted over Zabuza's shoulder.
Haku immediately sighed and relaxed, inwardly taking back what he had thought earlier. He closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of Zabuza holding him. This was the closest Haku got to a hug with his master.
Little Haku almost fell asleep until Zabuza spoke, "That's the 6th kidnapper this month, boy. And we started out with only one a month. I'm starting to think this is all your doing."
Haku bit back a smile even though he knew his master couldn't see him. "What makes you say that?" he said innocently.
A/N :D So I was thinking about how pretty and cute Haku is. Then I thought about kidnappers... Ah, Zabuza, I wonder how much you went through when Haku was a child.
