"Sexual WHAT?!?!?!"
By: Courtney Grint
Chapter 1 "Bookworm!"

Thump, thump, thump.

"Incompetent slob!"

Thump, thump, thump.

SLAM!

SLAM!

Sigh.

'They get worse every year!' Harry thought as he massaged his temples with his forefingers. The quiet Sunday afternoon was no more.

Now in their 7th year, Ron and Hermione's arguments have heightened from just using words; now they have that as well as major screaming matches, huge hand gestures and dramatic exits. Almost daily, the entire Gryffindor common room has to hear exactly what makes Hermione 'a-person-who-has-no- time-for- her-friends-because-she-is-to-busy-absorbing-knowledge-into-her-overly- large-head,' which always makes Hermione retort with Ron being 'a-stupid- boy-who-spends-all-of-his-time-obsessing-over-quidditch-and-chess-because- he-has-no-brain-to-speak-of-whatsoever-and-always-uses-hers-thank-you!' They always ended rather stupidly by calling each other names.

It was quite annoying really.

Ginny, who had come through the portrait during the thumps and the slams, walked over towards Harry. Upon reaching him, she asked incredulously, "Are they fighting again? I only left 15 minutes ago and they were perfectly fine!"

"Well about 10 seconds after you left, Victor Krum's owl shows up with a letter to invite Hermione to Bulgaria for Christmas. So of course-"

"-Ron has to be Ron about it and blow up?"

"Yeah," was Harry's reply.

"I don't understand why they won't just tell each other how they feel and leave the rest of us in peace!" With that said, Ginny plopped down next to Harry.

Harry, however, stood up and said, "WHAT?"

Ginny, shaking her head, grabbed his hand and pulled him back down. "Honestly Harry, haven't you noticed why fight so much? Does either of them ever fight this much with you?"

Harry looked down at his hands; one of which he noticed was still holding Ginny's. He mumbled, "No."

"See? Ron has fancied her for ages but I'm not quite sure when Hermione started fancying him."

"Why didn't he tell me?" Harry wondered.

"Because he doesn't quite know it himself."

"I see."

"It's just pent up sexual tension," Ginny stated matter-of-factly.

Before Ginny said those words, Harry understood her perfectly. Ok not perfectly, but what else could you expect. As soon as she said those words, Harry forgot for a moment where he was and said (quite loudly, too), "Sexual WHAT?!?!?!"

He then saw that the entire common room staring at him. "Umm, Gin?"

Ginny simply said, "We were talking about Ron and Hermione's sexual tension."

The girls did a nod of understanding while the guys asked the girls for a better explanation.

"Anyway," Ginny continued, "We need to talk to them. It's driving everyone crazy, especially with exams coming up. Even McGonagall was hinting at it."

Harry asked, "How did I not know about this?"

"Because," Ginny smiled, "You are a guy. You never notice these things."

"Right. Ok, you take Hermione and I'll take Ron."

Only when Harry and Ginny tried to stand up did they realize that they were still holding hands. They dropped their hands quickly and rushed towards their respective dormitories. 'She's gotten very pretty.' Then he stopped dead in his tracks when he realized that this was Ron's little sister he was thinking about. Harry looked back at Ginny and realized his hand was cold without hers in it.
