Just to make it clear, this fic is set somewhere in season 2.

"I hate men." Announced Meredith when she walked into the room, letting herself drop on the bed, next to Cristina.

"Yeah, well, get in line."

"It's settled. I won't chase after Derek anymore, or try to be his friend... Or have any kind of relationship with him. He has a wife, and he should stay with her." She said determined.

"Ugh, i'd like to see you try to deal with Burke. He's always... grumpy. And then, he decides to take it all out on me! He's driving me crazy."

"You know..." Meredith mused out loud. "Maybe we should become lesbians."

Cristina stayed silent for a few seconds, and then she slowly turned her head to look at her friend, skeptical.

"You're joking, right?"

"I'm not, actually. I was thinking, since we seem to have so much trouble with guys, maybe we could... You know. Try something different."

They both stayed silent, lost in their own thoughts. Suddenly, Cristina turned to look at Meredith, and placed a hand in her friend's jaw, turning her head so they were facing each other.

"Cristina, what...?" She was cut off by a pair of lips pressing against hers. She stayed still for a moment, shocked, before tentatively returning thekiss.

When they ran out of air, it only took a glance at each other for them to burst out laughing.

"Well, that was interesting." Said Meredith sarcastically.

"Hey, it was your idea."

They kept laughing, until their pagers started to beep.

"Ooh, a car crash." Said an excited Cristina. "I'll try to get us something good. Hurry up." She called back, leaving the room, unable to wipe off the small smile on her face.

"Yeah, i'll be right there." She stood up to leave, but stopped for a second at the door, smirking slightly.

Maybe it wasn't such a stupid idea after all...

Hello everyone :) This is my first Grey's Anatomy fic, and my first time writting in english. So please, if you see any mistakes, let me know so i can fix them.

I've been wanting to write about these two for a long time, they have a great relationship. Of course, in my twisted mind, they share a bit more than friendship... Still, i made it subtle enough so it can fit in the show without changing anything of importance.
