Here's the first in my series of Yuu Yuu Hakusho drabbles for the challenge mentioned in my profile. The song I used was Lost Northern Star by Tarja. I think this turned out a little to much like Frozen, and that I'm stretching the point a bit... Your thoughts? Oh, and I'm sorry it's so short...

I own neither the series nor the song. Woe is me.

Every day Hina spent crying was another day that tore at my heart. No matter where I went on the floating glacier, I could hear her sobs, and I was sure that all the other Koorime could too. It must have been terrible, losing a child. I could not imagine the pain that she must be going through, and I doubt that I ever will, no matter how many children I have.

I hope, with all my heart, that Hina's boy would survive the fall. That way, he would be able to seek revenge upon us, the ones who deserved it most of all. His wrath will be the flames that melt our frozen hearts. Maybe then, our emotions, in cased in ice for eons, would, in our last moments of life, come to light one last time.

As the winds settled, I looked from where I stood on the icy slope to where the calm fields of snow became one with the sky. I waited as time passed by, praying to the goddess of the snows that Hina's child, the lost northern star that would guide us to the deaths that we deserved, would survive and seek his rightful revenge.
