The grey clouds covered the bright blue sky. Fog muffed the forest area making it very hard to see. Young Akemi tramped through the muddy terrain in her furry thick boots. The young dwarf dodged trees that were only see-able unless she was five feet in front of her.

Her body ached for she had been traveling all day. First, she had been riding in an old farmers wagon, then by foot, then another wagon, and now by foot. This time, she wasn't so sure that she' see another wagon for a long time now.

Akemi had been traveling far from her ambushed home-city, Dale. She stood still for a moment next to a tree, shaking the mud from her boots.

Ugh. When will I ever reach the inn? The thought crossed into the young dwarves mind. She had been heading to an old inn where her father had once taken in when she was only a child. The name of the inn- however- escaped the her mind at the moment, for so many things had happened just that morning.

Hopefully I'll see another wagon pass by - but probably not. She frowned as she began walking again. Dodging under branches, over fallen trees, and leaping over bushes, Akemi stopped and found a low sturdy tree branch to climb for rest. She slowly climbed every muscle in her body ached. All she wanted to do now was sleep. Just sleep.

Awakening by a tweeting bird above her head, she stretched her arms out. The bird flew away leaving Akemi "alone". Everything around her was dark. Nothing to be seen. Nothing could be heard except for a quiet howling of a wolf. She hopped carefully down from the sturdy branch and landed on the ground. It was time to set off for the inn now.

A few hours had passed and Akemi could see the small smoke coming from the inn's chimney. She was now sprinting- which was Akemi's struggle- towards the inn. When she entered, she found something that surprised her!
