Prologue
Timeline – Thousand years before Harry Potter's birth.
Note – I know that in those times old English was used, but I am going to stick with normal English.
Note 2 – Salazar Slytherin is going to be a good man who was misunderstood in this story (Gryffindor and Slytherin are going to best friends and like brothers, not unlike Fred and George, and James and Sirius, not to mention Harry and Ron).
Godric Gryffindor's POV
My life was rather uneventful until I met one of my best friends, one of three.
I had been living in a small village called The Hollow, but would later be known as Godric's Hollow. A lot of people lived here, both Wizards and Muggles. Godric's Hollow, or The Hollow, was in Scotland, and I was born in this village. It was later named after me because of my help to instruct young Wizarding children to control their magic. Unfortunately, in those times, compared to 20 years after leaving the village, Wizards and Muggles did not live together peacefully; rather, Muggles would hunt us Wizards and put us to death. I had been fortunate enough to have loving parents who forced me to escape when we were under threat of these Muggles. When I escaped, I was fortunate enough to chance upon the first of my three fast friends, Rowena Ravenclaw.
Rowena was a witch of extraordinary talent, and she possessed an immense amount of intelligence and logic, which put her apart from other fellow wizards and witches. I had just run out of the village, soot-covered and panting, and had collapsed just out of the village. I sat there panting, until a soft, familiar voice said, 'How have you chanced upon my adobe, Godric Gryffindor?'
After I regained my breath, I looked up and was shocked to see a noble lady, Rowena Ravenclaw, from across Scotland. As my family was the noble family of my village, we had often chanced upon each other, various parties hosted in Europe, though we were never close; I more often stayed with my younger sister, Julia. I gasped and Rowena helped me up and took me to the small cottage which stood a few yards away.
After I steadied myself, I took a good look at Rowena. She was in her customary set of blue and bronze robes; but I couldn't say much, since I always wore red and gold robes. She still looked the same; her hair which looked like bronze reached her waist. Her eyes were still a deep blue. I conjured up a small bowl of water to check if my face held any injuries. My red hair and beard needed a trim. My hazel eyes looked duller that they had in a long time. My face was mostly clear of any sort of injury, except a small cut above one of my eyes, which was bleeding profusely. After I mended the cut with a wave of my hand and drank some of the water from the bowl and put it down, I felt slightly refreshed. Rowena gave a small smile and said, 'Godric, it seems that your love for your looks have grown since I last saw you.'
I glared at her half-heartedly, and said, 'Is it a crime to look good?'
We laughed till we reached the cottage, where two people sat around a table. One was a man who had hair that was silver in colour and deep, clever and calculating green eyes, and who was wearing a set of green and silver robes. The other occupant was a lady who had warm black eyes and yellow hair which reached her waist, and who wore a set of yellow and black robes.
'Salazar, Helga, this is Godric Gryffindor. Godric, this is Salazar Slytherin and Helga Hufflepuff.'
And so ends the Prologue! I don't know how often I'll be able to update, but it sure won't be often till Christmas! So, until the next chapter, bye!
