It was the last day of our trip to Baltimore, Maryland. We had a tour around the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The tour guide showed us all of the different things that trainers did while training for the United States Navy. The students in my group included Carly, Alex, Justin, and Max. "So, did you have fun riding the rides yesterday, Carly?" I asked Carly. "I sure did," Carly replied. "I see you rode with Sarah, James, and Henri," I then remarked. "Uh-huh," Carly stated. "I am friends with them." "Didn't we have fun riding together, Alex?" I then asked my other friend. "Oh, yeah," Alex replied. "I had fun riding on the Goliath with you, except for I lost my hair tie." I then went through my backpack and got another hair tie for Alex to wear. "Here," I offered Alex. "I'll let you have mine." "Thanks, Angel," Alex remarked. "You're such a good friend." Pretty soon, it was time to eat lunch at the Drydock Restaurant. We could sign up for what we wanted to eat. I chose to eat 2 slices of cheese pizza. We all got Utz potato chips, Oreo cookies, and a fountain soft drink to eat with our lunches. Again, I sat with Carly and her parents to eat lunch. Alex, Justin, Max, and her friends sat right beside us. Sarah, James, and Henri were probably sitting at a different table. I felt sad when Carly sat next to her mom, Sam and Alex sat next to her mom, Harper. It made me realize how much I missed my own mom, Nadine. Another thing- it was Mother's Day, too! At least, my mom and I could hang out after I got back from the band trip. Despite the fact that I wasn't a leader in the marching band at all this year, even though I was a senior, it was still a great season, and we were lucky to end it with such a great trip!
