"Prepare to be defeated, Mario!" bellowed Bowser. Mario and Bowser were fighting on a small platform suspended over a boiling volcano. "Not if I defeat you first, Bowser!" replied Mario. Mario jumped at Bowser, with his fist out, ready to punch him. Bowser ducked, and Mario flew off the platform, now falling to the bubbling lava below. Mario tried to think of a way to save himself, but he was hopeless. He plunged into the lava, feeling heat unlike any he had ever felt before. The lava burned off Mario's flesh. Needless to say, Mario died. Above, on the platform, Bowser couldn't believe what had just happened. His greatest foe was dead, and he didn't even kill him. Mario, in a way, killed himself. "Well," said Bowser, "time to take over the world."
