Thought I'd give a try at starting the concept art as a fanfic.
Angels Journey

Prologue: Memory
His first memory was as pain, of broken bones and what he found out later was horrible burns. The world was a fuzzy white around him as darkness claimed him again.
When he woke next, it was two weeks later. It was most of the pain being gone and the annoying sound of a machine that brought him about.
Sapphire shaded eyes slipped open to the white white hospital room, wincing at light hitting his eyes after two weeks in darkness.
Absently a gauze wrapped hand came up to block the light, and then he realizes that he had burn wrappings on his body and a needle dripping medicine into his arm also.
"What...?" he said with a dry throat.
What would be his question for a very long time he'd soon learn.

The boy smiled slightly as the Doctor went through the final checkup, it was still too bad that he couldn't remember anything about his past. Two months ago he'd been found badly hurt, burns and broken burns.
After he'd woken they'd been shocked at how fast he'd healed with no scars, and now he was being released into the foster system. He actually already had a foster parent, a nice women who had helped him choose a name.
"Are you ready Black?" The doctor asked.
"Yes, I think I am," Black once Pit replied.
