Time was quiet. Nothing major or earth-shattering seemed to be happening. Ten and Rose weren't being catapulted through time. No villainous things chased after them. It was nice - a little odd, but very nice.

Ten didn't quite know what to do with himself. He was used to solving problems, saving the world, and fighting off vile villains without breaking a sweat. Perhaps reading a book, riding a horse, or cooking a meal would be something pleasurable. A relaxing bath might do him well he assumed. None of those things really tickled his fancy however.

He let out a weary sigh as he put the news paper down. The Doctor had been trying to catch up on the current day's news, but alas, he found it tedious. History was meant to be lived not read about!

Rose seemed to be bored as well. She had filed her nails, cleaned up the place, sorted the recycling, and did a quirky as well as impromptu dance in the middle of the living room.

The Doctor glanced out the window. It seemed to be a lovely day out. Few clouds, blue sky, sun - the perfect day some might say. "Shall we go and do something?"

"Like what...go to the library and catch up on the myths and legends of Crimean Peninsula?" Rose asked.

The Doctor could not help but raise his eyebrows at her comment. Was that supposed to be a joke? "No, Rose. Not the library. I was thinking a nice meal outside in the grass would be in order," Ten replied with a slight smile tugging on his lips.

"Do you mean a picnic?" she retorted with a cock of her head. It was as if she felt she had not heard Ten properly. Rose smiled at the Doctor. She also seemed a bit surprised at his suggestion.

"Why, yes, I suppose I do," said the Doctor. "It is too nice to stay indoors. Wouldn't it be lovely to be out in nature for a change?"

Rose nodded; her face glowing. "Indeed, it would. I shall go pack the basket," murmured Ten's assistant as she stood from her seat. She gave a bit of a nod. A strand of hair fell across her eye; Rose brushed it away with a little flick of the wrist."Thank you."

"It is my pleasure, dear Rose," he whispered, however she didn't hear him as she was already bouncing out of the study and to their kitchen. "It is my pleasure."
