Another Sesame Street sketch rewrite, this time it's Kermit's famous W lecture from the very first episode, written in script from. This is the first of two parts. Enjoy and comment.
(Kermit is sitting on a brick wall, next to the letter W)
KERMIT: Hi ho! My name is Kermit, and Gordon has asked me to say a few things about the letter W.
Now, this is a letter W. It is an easy letter to make, since it's made of all straight lines. A W is needed to make such words as wash, women, weeping willow, and…
(As Kermit is talking, Cookie Monster eats part of the W, so now it looks like a letter N)
I'm sorry. There must have been some sort of mistake. I thought Gordon asked me to talk about W, but they left me an N instead.
Now that's an N, see? It has three lines, zap, zap, zap. The W has four lines.
Anyways, N is not a bad letter. You need a N to make words such as nice, nifty, nincompoop, and…
(Cookie Monster eats part of the N, so now it looks like the letter V)
Now V is a okay letter. It's on the list of okay letters. It starts words such as victory, very confused, and..,
(Cookie Monster eats part of the V, so now it looks like the number I)
Now this is an I. It looks tilted, so it could look like the number 1, but whatever it is, it's not what it was a couple of minutes ago.
(Cookie Monster eats the I)
It looks like some people will eat just about anything, but I hope this was an educational and informative lecture on the letter W.
(Cookie Monster begins biting Kermit)
(to Cookie Monster) Hey, I think I hear your mother calling!
(Cookie Monster walks away)
See ya around.
