Katara's Thoughts
I look around me and I see
What was never meant to be
Turmoil, strife, death, and distress
Spring from one nation's conquest
This war has taken so much from me
My hopes, my dreams, my family
I do not know why they chose me
But a waterbender forever I'll be
I wish we could all live together in peace
And that the war with the fire nation would cease
But until that day I will continue to fight
And for my people I will give up my life
