Amy felt something hard and yet soft in the doctor's pockets as she rooted for a pen. She frowned wondering what it could be. The thing kept bumping into her fingers almost as it was telling her to pick it up. She felt her fingers wrap it around the box slowly and she pulled the box out.
Her eyes widen with shock.
The box was small and the material around it was made out of red-velvet. It was small enough just to hold a ring.
Her heart pounded in her ears. He wasn't going to..Was he?
She slowly opened the beautiful red box with her fingers and he stared at the ring in shock.
It was a simple ring. Nothing fancy, yet at the same time it was beautiful. She stared at it what seemed like forever. Her heart was pounding so loud that she couldn't even hear the usual TARDIS noise.
She stared at it. She thought she was staring at it for hours on end but really it was only for a few seconds.
Was the doctor going to propose to her? She snapped the box shut, holding it tight against her chest and looked blankly at the opposite wall.
No.
The doctor would never do that. It wasn't that sort of thing for him to do..
She rubbed her thumb on top of the box. Thinking hard.
Was he hiding something from her? She frowned. She knew the doctor held loads of secrets, but nothing was scarier than this.
The doctor cannot be proposing to her. It wasn't his sort of thing..
It's not him.
She heard the doctor walking back and she quickly put the box back in its pocket.
"Amy, you got a red pen yet?" He shouted.
She had an urge to roll her eyes.
"No, still looking." She dug her hands back into the doctor coat pockets and kept on searching. Trying to get the ring out of her mind.
"Try the breast pocket, it might be in there!" The doctor shouted. She removed her hand out from the pocket and into the breast pocket. At once, she found a red pen.
Same colour as that box.
Why did the doctor have that ring? Was it for her?
Yes, A voice whispered in the back of her head.
Its for you, but not from the doctor.
She frowned.
If it wasn't from the doctor then who else could it be?
"Amy, write the note down on this piece of paper and write it on the back. Then we can go back and pop in time for a visit." The doctor said handing her a piece of paper and he made his way to the console.
She quickly took the note and scribbled the letters down.
In the back of her mind, her mind was screaming at her.
Remember! Remember!
Remember what?
