The quietness of the breathtakingly beautiful kingdom was soon
disturbed by angered voices, hushed tones and stomping of feet upon
the cobbled stone flooring. It was roughly midday. Not a cloud within
sight of this magnificent castle, just blue skies filled with sweet
humming and song birds all with a different song to play...not that
anyone was paying attention to that. Oh no, they were all too busy
with the small feud going on between the two kings of Narnia...

"Edmund you're being stubborn, let me clean your wounds!" Peter's
voice echoed throughout the passage way, that they were currently
walking through. Edmunds' chestnut brown eyes glared back at his
brother, who was trailing behind with pleading eyes.

'Damn him and those beautiful eyes...' Edmund thought but quickly
pushed that thought away with a blush on his freckled cheeks.

"I am not being stubborn!" the younger male growled as he tried to
stagger to his sleeping chamber, 'so close' the younger thought but
the elder of the two, being in better health, caught up to him easily
and held onto Edmund's wrist firmly causing the just king to stop in
his tracks.

"Why do you not let me help you, brother?"

The high king lowered himself to Edmund's height; the other flinched
slightly but reposed himself quickly, standing tall and confident. The hurt within Peter's, baby blues eyes were getting too much for Edmund,
his dark eyes landed on the dirty floor, the shiny mahogany flooring
was currently coated slightly with his sticky blood, that came from
his battle wound on his leg, and dirt from his boots.

"B-because...Peter I'm not a child anymore, I should be responsible
for my actions, not you" the young male sighed softly. "Thank you
nonetheless."

"L-let me help you to your room...you can hardly walk on that leg!"

"I'm perfectly capably of walking to my room without assistance thank
you for the concern though Peter" Edmund whispered with a tired smile.
The young king's skin had gone a rather pale pinkish colour causing
Peter to worry even more.

Edmund took a few unsteady steps before crashing on the wooden floor
boards. Peter's eyes widened in fear and ran over to his fallen
brother.

"A-are you okay?" Peter whispered ever so softly into Edmund's ear.

"I feel rather faint all of a sudden...isn't that peculiar?" the just
king chuckled ever so softly, which caused the high king to smile down
at him

"Even the most responsible of people need some help, you know?"
Peter's loving smile was gentle and ever so natural on his handsome
face, Edmund blushed almost instantly just looking into his brother's
sky coloured eyes, and they looked at him full of warmth and protection.

"N-no...Peter I'm fine, I promise" the shorter male whispered, feeling
too proud to ask for his beautiful brothers help, he soon gave in
reluctantly once peter tenderly placed his silk like lips against his
younger brothers cherry red ones. The two kings sat there for a moment
or two until air became a problem, causing them to break apart gasping
for air.

"Should get you to a bed before you pass out...huh?"

"Mmh good idea Pete..." Edmund smiled weakly "Have I ever told you how
pretty your eyes are?"

"No...But you can tell me later, for now let's get you cleaned up."

"P-Peter...I lov-" The ebony haired male's eyes drifted closed as he
fell into a unnatural slumber, that would most likely last a few hours
until he regained his strength.

Peter gently smiled before picking him up, carefully inspecting his
would, luckily it had stopped bleeding, but it certainly needed
washing and bandaging.

"I love you too Edmund...now let me help you."
