I was running, as fast as my aching feet could take me. Through the trees and branches cutting at my bare arms and legs. The sound of numerous heavy footsteps chasing me through the forest. I could hear it before it could hit me and I just managed to dodge the bullet flying past me. But as I was busy concentrating on the bullet, I didn't notice the rock jutting out of the earth. I fell down and my palms split open against the rough forest floor. Trying to stand up quickly I fall back down as soon as I put weight on my right ankle. Knowing that I won't be able to walk, I crawl to a tree, not far away from where I fell, for shelter. I must have been getting sloppy because I didn't notice the person in front of me until heavy black boots were stood in front of my face. I looked up and saw a face that I see in my nightmares.
Catherine smiled at me and brought up a pistol and aimed it in the middle of my eyes. As I was waiting for her to shoot I noticed that everything was going black. I struggled to see anything and heard my name being shouted at me. The more the blackness took over my vision the closer my name seemed to be shouted from.
"Cammie"
"Cam"
"Cameron"
"GALLAGHER GIRL"
I gasped as I woke up from my dream and it took me a few seconds to get my bearings. *deep breath* I was in Zach's arms *deep breath* in his room * at Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women (and man). I looked around Zach's room and my gaze finally fell upon his worried eyes.
"Do you want to tell me about it Gallagher Girl" I shook my head. He looked disappointed but didn't press me for more information about my dream. Instead he just tightened him arms around my waist and I laid my head in the curve oh his neck and breathed in his calming scent.
At that moment it didn't matter what was happening now or what was going to happen around the corner. No at that moment nothing mattered except Zach and I, because I felt safe. I felt like I was finally home.
Really cliché I know but please review :)
