A/N: It's such a habit that Dean doesn't even notice he's doing it. Sam's onto him, though, and will get his way in the end.
Sam worries at the frayed end of his sweatshirt, an old tell that something's bothering him.
"What's up?" Dean tries general first.
"Nothing."
A thread comes loose. Sam twirls it between his fingers.
"How'd the interview go?"
"Fine."
"Witness okay?"
"Yeah."
Dean coughs into his shoulder while he's thinking. There's an audible rip.
"Dinner?"
"Na'ah."
Dean nods. He's not hungry either. He smothers a sneeze, wipes a hand across his face, feels muzzy. "You okay?"
That gets him a long stare.
Dean stifles another sneeze.
"I'm fine."
"Early night?" Dean tries.
Sam's shoulders relax. "Yeah."
Dean nods. Good. He's beat.
