I'm Just… Me
AN: Request from Sorugao-Band Geek! Hope it fit your criteria somewhat… :3 Even if it is rather short for a story of mine. Maybe a bit too short for you? [panics]
Start~
Basil never gave much thought to whatever happened in his life. Whenever his Boss told him to do something, he did it. His talent for a fighter was god-given, especially in his line of work. So when Sawada Iemitsu, his boss, told him to go safely deliver the other half of the Vongola rings to his son, Sawada Tsunayoshi, he did it without complaint merely accepting it as work. Although he couldn't deny that he felt faintly curious of how the son of the quaint, doting parent he called boss had turned out to be like. Basil wondered if the slight boy that he saw in the many pictures that Boss had so lovingly shown him had grown up into an epic warrior of some sort; the tall, buff, and cool personality that girls loved so much.
Basil was mildly disappointed when he saw that the son of the boss he so admired was still as frail and fragile in the many pictures that he saw of him, like a girl. Yet he accepted as his line of duty when Reborn told him to help Tsuna to learn to fight. His boss told him to help them, and so he did.
Sometimes he wondered if he was human or a tool to be used to the mafia. That in itself would not be surprising, since he had been submerged within the mafia when he was born. Nothing less than the world ending by drowning in chocolate pudding would surprise him by now. But it only took one sentence to fully surprise him for what seemed like the first time in years.
"Do you have anything you like to do, Basil-kun?"
Basil glanced up at the man, surprised from his muse by the brown haired man next to him. Sawada "Tsuna" Tsunayoshi had grown up into a fine young mafia boss. Basil was shocked enough that he couldn't respond in his husky voice of formal lilting tones. Tsuna smiled mysteriously and disappeared back into the hustle and bustle of the Vongola mansion. Basil picked up a young basil sprout that was given to him by the gardeners of the mansion. He twirled it between his first two fingers, the delicate green double leaves spinning charmingly under the sunlight. Letting a smile grace his lips, he fell back onto the old wooden park bench.
Someone cares.
Even after submerging his whole life into the dangers of the mafia, he would have given up a normal life just for someone like Tsuna. That's why he followed him. Screw home, there was no place like his Famiglia. After all, Basil was just… Basil.
The End~
It's my first time writing something like this. O.o Hope you liked it? :D
