The Soul Mate Principle

AN: This is just my buddy Liana Secret and I messing around during class. She wrote the fist sentence, I wrote the second, and so on. I'm in normal typing and she is in italics. Make sure to check out her profile. She is writing her first multi-chapter story, and would greatly appreciate some reviews. You don't have to read the Night World books to understand this.

I leaned in and pressed my lips to his. They were soft and full against my own, and my heart soared with happiness. I loved how his body so easily molded to mine. I tangled my fingers into his long, dark hair and tilted my head to deepen the kiss.

His arms locked around my waist, pulling me into his chest. I ran my hands up and down his muscular back underneath his shirt, and he moaned softly into my mouth. I knew that noise; he was thirsty.

His teeth elongated into needle sharp points and grew until they pressed into his lower lip, making little indentations. I wasn't scared; I felt strong enough to pull his head towards my throat and say,

"It's okay, I'm not afraid," He inhaled my sent, which he often described to be that of all the sweetest smelling flowers in the world mixed with chocolate, and slowly leaned in. I could see the indecision on his face, but hunger won over, and he bit me.

At first, it hurt, a lot, but then it faded away and all I felt was the pleasure of being with my other half, my soul mate. I could see everything in his mind, every idle wish, it flowed into me. At the same time, all my thoughts, all my dreams flowed into him, and we rejoiced in knowing everything about each other.

One; it is a beautiful word. And that is what we were: a single mind, a single body, a single existence.

Life.
