An Alternate Take on "Savior"
Shaking his head, Oliver Queen attempted his damnest to shrug off the pain of the punches, that he had received in the cage match. As it stood now, he was bruised more on an ego-based level than actually hurt. His opponent may have been a physical threat, but he wasn't any sort of Doomsday.
Breaking for a round, Oliver laid his head against the cage, closing his eyes for a moment. Then reopening them to see the newest ring girl enter. Shaking his head and wiping his eyes, he took a moment to double take the situation.
"Chloe, what the hell are you doing here?" he asked, as his eyes trailed down her figure, clearly getting a view of her cleavage.
"Looking for you," Chloe returned. "For three months as of this moment. You know how hard it was to track you down?"
Oliver smirked a bit, taking the statement more as a compliment than anything else. "Considering I went on a little trip here and there. Mexico, South America, China, Japan, France....I can understand the frustration."
"What the hell happened to you, Oliver?" Chloe asked, her eyes housing a level of concern, he hadn't seen from her since his poisioning last year.
"Doomsday happened," Oliver returned, facing her directly.
"Yeah, well, we all lost someone or something, that we loved that day," Chloe said, still holding the sign up for everyone to see.
"You don't get it, Chlo. I disbanded the team because we couldn't stop Doomsday. We tried, we failed..."
"And doing this is what? Helping you heal?" Chloe asked, putting the sign down.
"You have any better ideas?" Oliver asked, tilting his head to her.
"One," Chloe said, moving forward, wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him into a deep kiss. Without a second thought, Oliver wrapped his arms around Chloe and pulled her in tighter, kissing her back with the same passion. Not letting off until the need for air overtook them. "Two, the world still needs you."
Oliver takes a moment, catching his breath. "Gentlemen, if you'll excuse me," Oliver said pushing his way through the gate, moving together with Chloe. His arm wrapped around her waist. "I've got better things to do and other matters to deal with."
Sure, the Green Arrow wasn't fully back, but there were always steps to getting there. Chloe was the first.
