Alex's pov

Walking to my car I make sure I have wallet, phone, and keys. I was heading to open up my club. Sunday through Wednesday I bartend at my club.

The other days I have Stacy do it or whoever's available. But yeah, today's my turn and I have to do it. It's not that I'm dreading going there or anything, no far from that. It's just that... well, being a female bartender isn't as fun as it used to be.

After trying to start my car for several minutes I had to call a mechanic to come fix my car. "Damn," I thought "Why does my car never like to start on Mondays." Picking up my phone I called my buddy at the local mechanic shop who told me they would be sending someone out in 10 minutes.

My phone rings and it my boss saying he has a job for me to go do in the area. I tell I'll head right over to the person's house. Shutting my phone off I put my truck in drive and headed to the house I was sent to.

After a 15 minute drive I arrived at the address my boss told me. Stepping out of my truck I noticed a rather attractive blonde standing next to the car in the driveway. Putting on my mechanics gloves I got out of the truck and walked up the driveway.

I was leaning over the engine when I heard a voice behind me: "Can't get the car to start?"

"Yeah," I said, thinking it was my neighbor. "It must be something with the engine."

"No, it's definitely the battery," she replied standing right by me. "See? The cables are corroded." She pointed to my car's battery and that's when I noticed her arm. It was completely different from my neighbor's.

Looking up quickly I saw a tan brunette in a white halter top and mechanic coveralls tied at the waist. I admit that while looking up my gaze lingered on her abs a little longer than I should have. Clearing my throat, "oh uh, you must be the mechanic." Taking a step back I watched as she leaned over and checked the starter as well as the alternator. It was different seeing such an attractive woman leaning over to fix my car.

Reaching into the woman's car I tested the starter and alternator. Both were fine so I stood back up, "So it's only the cables that need to be replaced. I can tow it down to the garage and have them replaced by noon."

"Noon?!" she exclaimed. "That's going to take forever and I don't have the time. I should be opening up my club in about…" She checked the time and I could tell by her face that she was almost late.

"Why don't I give you a ride into work that way you're not late," I offer.

She responds with, "Yeah I suppose that will work. My club is a few blocks from the mechanics garage so I should be OK."
