Oz this is so not swankified or even fun for that matter. Fiyero thought angrily to himself as he sat on Galinda's bed and watched Elphaba sleep.
Leave it to Galinda to make plans for right when her best friend would need her. Elphaba needed someone to watch her and everyone but Fiyero had plans to go home for the Lurlinemas holiday.
Oz look at her when she sleeps… She is so beautiful- Oh dear Shiz! Did I just call me ex-girlfriends best friend and roommate beautiful?
"Yero?" A weak yet stunning voice said form the other bed.
"Elphaba? Are you wake? Are you ok, in pain? Do you need anything?" My heart went out to this girl who was always so strong.
"Will you come lay with me? My meds will keep you from getting what I have…"
Lay with her? As in on the same tiny bed… together? "If that's what you want Elphaba." With that I went to her bed and slide beside her.
"Fiyero… Yero my hero… I have to tell you something…"
"What is it, darling?"
"I… I… I lo," a sneeze broke what she was saying, "you"
"What? Can you repeat that and speak a little more clearly Sweetheart?" Did she say I love you?
"I. Love. You." She spoke.
"You love me? I love you too Elphaba. I have for the longest time." Whoa! Hold up Fiyero! Where did that came from? I love her? Yes! Yes I love her! That's what it is!
She is amazing and, and…
"Kiss me Yero."
Done! His lips gently latched on to hers. OZ! She tastes so good! I wanted to deepen the kiss but she was still sick and probably in pain from her 'accident'.
"Yero." she whimpered and moaned. "Never leave me please?"
"I couldn't if I tried."
It wasn't 'till Elphaba was in a deep sleep that I found the note from Galinda. It read:
Fiyero,
Thank you for looking out for Elphie! I need to tell you though. Her meds make her a little loopy. Don't take anything she says to seriously. She wont remember it when she wakes up again.
