So this is my first Percy Jackson story, but not my first one-shot. By the way, I am not a good writer, so, I'm sorry if this story makes you barf all over your screen. By the way, my name is Lia. Yes, I am a girl. And, P.S. this is short.

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan does, BUT I do own the plot.

Annabeth Chase was a person who never celebrated her birthday.

But her boyfriend was.

Percy Jackson wanted his princess to have the best birthday ever. After all, she was turning 19.

So Percy devised a plan.

Percy knocked on the door to the Athena Cabin, his hands behind his back. The door swung open, revealing the one and only Annabeth Chase. She looked different. Her curly, unruly blonde hair was in a bun, and she had major bags under her eyes. Percy smiled, still thinking she was gorgeous.

"Happy Birthday beautiful," Percy smiled, pulling the flowers from behind his back. Annabeth blushed deeply and took them.

"Thank you," she pecked him on the cheek before setting them in an empty vase. "Lucinda! Can you fill up this vase for me?"

"Yeah!" came the Athena daughter's reply from in the back of the cabin. Annabeth stepped out of the cabin, cold air brushing her face.

"Why did you get me flowers?" she asked, leaning against the door.

"Because I love you and it's your birthday." He replied, smiling.

"My birthday isn't important," Annabeth said. "Its just another reminder that I'll die soon." Percy chuckled.

"It is important, Annie," he told her, hugging her. "And I have something planned."

"Percy." Annabeth mumbled into his chest.

"Oh just go along with it, for me, at least."

"Fine. Gods," Percy let go of Annabeth, took her hand, and dragged her to the lake.

Percy had many surprises, but this was the first.

On the lake, in ice, Percy wrote her a note. After she read it (and cried a bit), he melted it so the water nymphs wouldn't eat his soul.

Next was at archery. On a huge piece of wood, he had engraved in apples "I LOVE YOU ANNIE". To do this, he placed them and had an Apollo camper shoot them. Of course, Percy tried, but you can only hit campers so many times.

Last was dinner. The food was all Annabeth's favourite. They brought out cake, sang, and gave presents (which Annabeth at first turned down, but after Percy pulled a puppy dog face, she practically screamed for the presents).

Percy and Annabeth walked hand-in-hand along the shore.

"Thank you, Percy," Annabeth whispered. Percy just smiled at her and kissed her head.

"You're welcome, Annabeth. Happy birthday."

SHORT I KNOW I'M SORRY! I don't even like reading long one-shots. In my opinion, one shots should be 400-900 words. The longest one I read was 10,000.

So, review. Tell me how horrible/great it is. Bye!
