It was a ridiculous little game, and Lust awsn't sure why she even agreed to playing. The cards felt clumsy in her fingers, and her temper was close to boiling knowing that his lilac eyes were smirking at her. She was smarter than this! She had a better understanding of the way minds worked, but somehow, she could just not win.

And Greed knew it. The corner of his lip twitched upward into a condescending grin, and he pushed a chip forward, settling back in his chair to pretend that he was superior.

Fuschia eyes narrowed lethally at the other Sin's movement, as though it offended Lust in the highest manner. "This is a stupid game."

Greed wagged a finger in front of him tauntingly. "Now, dear, is that any kind of sportmanship? You can't just quit because you're losing." he added with a small glance at the two--rather contrasting in size--piles of poker chips.

"Don't condescend me, underling." she snapped, tossing one of her cards towards the discard pile. "I don't even have to be playing this game with you."

Greed's smirk, if possible, grew more sardonic at this. "Then why are you?"

Deciding that it was below her to answer, Lust simply bit the inside of her cheek and flashed Greed another glare, signalling him to make his move quickly.

Another hour passed, and the dark-haired woman's mood had not improved. Even Greed was surprised. He had heard of the Gambler's Ruin, and it was strange that his streak had continued this long.

"Are we going to finish this anytime soon?" Lust demanded, sliding forward her last chip, craking it slightly on her extended claw.

Even though it was his greatest ambition to win everything, he had to admit it was becoming rather boring if his quarry had no fight left in them. He preferred the chase, the excitement of seeing the struggle through to the very--and usually bloody--end.

On the other hand...

Greed sent pale eyes to his opponent. As opposed to her game self, who had no energy whatsoever, the Lust in real life was a plethora of deadly opposition. Sharp-tongued and sharp-nailed, Greed never did seem to get what he wanted from her as herself.

A suggestive grin crossed his features, and he tossed his cards--and the table seperating them--to the side.

Fuck the game.
