"Hmmm..." Sakura held her head in her hands as her light hum filled the silence between them. "Hm?" Sasuke echoed as his eyes trailed over the soft features of the girl across from him. "I'm tired, Sasuke." He tsked and softly shook his head, obsidian eyes gleaming in amusement. "No good. You wanted to watch the live simulcast, right?" Here, she pouted. "Yeah…it wouldn't be the same watching a recording." His gaze was drawn to her plump lips and he inwardly sighed. Moments like these were the ones where Sasuke wished he wasn't talking to his (not-so) secret crush through video chat.

"If I were there…" He began, waiting for her to meet his gaze and felt his heart leap into his throat. It was painfully corny, but he was never too partial to the color green until he met Sakura. Even the way they met sounded like some teenager's love-sick daydream. "If you were here…?" She asked, unconsciously leaning closer in her curiosity. "I wouldn't let you sleep." Sakura shot him an unimpressed look but it only made her seem more tired. "That's what you're supposed to be doing now." He smirked and continued in his lowered voice as if she hadn't bothered to speak. "I'd find more fun ways to keep you awake with my mouth. We'd be in your bed, but no one would be sleeping, I promise you." Sasuke felt his smirk grow once his words sunk into her sleep-less brain. She coughed into her fist, trying and failing to cover her reddening cheeks.

Her mouth opened as if to tell him off, but she snapped it shut and looked at the digital clock in the corner of her computer screen. Usually she could brush off whatever teasing he threw her way, but her defenses were much too low for her liking. "W-Well it's almost show time, so I better be logging off." Sakura inwardly cursed herself for stuttering but his "suggestion" came completely out of left field. Her hand flew to her mouse to escape both her long-time friend and this embarrassing situation when he spoke. "Why won't you ever come over?" Whenever he spoke of her visiting there was never a pout on his face but it was heard in his voice. If you bothered to listen underneath the usual monotonous drone he was known for. "You say that like I'm across the street, not across the world." She sighed, only to be interrupted by an obnoxious yawn. Ever since they started this whole thing Sasuke's been trying to get her to leave America.

To better his class' English, their teacher contacted an old friend and set up a month pen pal program. The first week straight they wrote letters to one, then sent goods made from their country the second, and for the third they sent pictures to find out who they were talking to. The fourth week was to say their good-byes but Sasuke used it to say how dumb Sakura looked. So she used her letters to rip him a new one. After trading insults and trying to prove who was better for a week straight, Sasuke was actually more upset when the program ended. It was when he caught himself starring at her picture he realized he fell. Hard. While the other kids forgot about their pen pals just as quickly as they had gotten them, Sasuke couldn't. He continued writing letters, which lead to phone calls, and then they started their video chats.

"I heard the most interesting thing the other day." Sakura crossed her arms over her chest and nodded for him to continue. This was the part of their chat were Sasuke would start to say anything so the call would last longer. But he didn't ramble. Uchihas do not ramble. "Apparently, the National Honor Society is holding a reunion for their alumina at the complex center." Wordlessly she started typing something on her computer and he narrowed his eyes. "I know you're going. Why didn't you tell me?" For a moment there was only the clacking of her keyboard before. She shot a questioning glance at the webcam before looking back down at words he couldn't see.

"Me? Itachi didn't tell you?" Instead of the explanation of the miscommunication placating the raven like she had hoped, it seemed to do the opposite. "Itachi? Itachi knew before me?" Sakura let her eyes turn heavenward but let her fingers continue gliding across the keyboard. Whenever his older brother was involved her friend went from twenty to two. "Yes, he is actually one of the advisors. There was a small conference in San Francisco about it and I had bumped into him." A small smile came to her face at the memory and Sasuke scowled. Sakura was his friend first and he's only seen her from her shoulders and above. Don't get him wrong, even a limited view of Sakura was lovely, but he knew the full thing would be beautiful.

"You're coming to my house when you get to Japan." It wasn't a request and his voice broke no room for argument. Of course Sakura knew of the petty jealous he had against his brother over everything but it didn't mean she wanted to be a part of it. Instead of saying no and arguing like Sasuke thought she would, the only think the petite woman did was sigh. "I don't even know where you live." He smirked and leaned back in his office chair. If this wasn't progress, then he doesn't know what is. "I'll pick you up from the airport." Rolling her eyes, she grumbled whatever and ended the call. That meeting was in a week and she had yet to pack, plus she had to go take off time from work…

With another large sigh she felt a wave of exhaustion hit her.

A/N: I didn't proof read this so there might be errors. But wow, I can't believe I'm here still trying to salvage this train wreck. I decided to not only change the characters I had originally planned to have in this story, but also the way it was going to progress. Think of this as an introduction. I know it was heavy with the SasuSaku but it really is sakuXmulti. Hopefully it won't be like before when I update and it posts chapter 1 twice. Let me know if I should try to continue or put this thing out of its misery and delete the whole story.
