"Hey, Iz." Alex Karev says tiredly as he rubs his eyes. "How was the clinic?" He asks, sitting up.
"It was good, busy." She replies, yawning. "I'm just really tired. Did you put Georgia to bed?" She asks about her two-year old daughter.
Georgia was the light of both Izzie and Alex's life. Izzie always wanted children and after two years of settling down, her and Alex decided to try with the fertilized eggs ffrom when she was really sick. After about nine months, a little girl popped out. Georgia Alexandria Karev. She was named after Izzie's best friend, George, who she loved and missed dearly. Of course, her middle name came from her father's name, and after she was born, Izzie and Alex became the happiest parents on Earth.
"Yeah, I put her to bed," he glances at his wristwatch, "about an hour ago." He answers, a triumphant smile on his face.
Izzie nods at her husband, and yawns once again. "Well, I'll go check on her, and I'll meet you in our room." Izzie says as she gives Alex a peck on the lips, receiving a pleased smirk.
She walks up the stairs and into her daughter's lavendar room. They had been hoping for a girl for a long time, so when they found they would be having one, Izzie got into her decorating mode and spent at least half of her salary on the room.
As she walked in, she was overcome with a putrid smell. She pinched her nose, walked over to her daughter's crib, and picked her up.
"Dammit, Alex." She muttered to herself as she realized what the nasty stench was coming from. Alex had forgotten, once again, to change Georgia's diaper. She set her child down on the changing table and began to do the job that should've been done minutes, if not, hours before.
After changing the young child's stinky and poo-filled diaper, she set her back down and sighed. Normally, she would've let this go, but tonight she was tired and stressed from work. She walked into her bedroom she shared with her husband and glared as he lay naked on their bed.
"I'm not in the mood." She said as she walked over to her walk-in closet, beginning to change into her nightgown.
"What? Why not?" Alex asked, confused. He knew she was tired, but every night they both weren't on call was spent like this. Candles, dim lighting. It was romantic, and Izzie loved it even if she was tired.
"Because I just changed Georgia's stinky-ass diaper, that's why!" She snapped at her husband, growing angrier and angrier.
Alex bit his lip, trying to keep the laughter from escaping, but he failed as a small chuckle left his lips. "I'm sorry," He apologized quickly, "It isn't funny." He said to her, chuckling once again.
Izzie just glared at her husband. "Alex!" She whined, "Come on, stop laughing at me. Why couldn't you change her diaper?"
Alex just laughed once again and took a deep breath to calm himself. "I'm sorry babe, I should have. I know that, but I was getting tired." He moved closer to her as he spoke and wrapped his arms around her waist. "I love you." He said with a smile on his face.
Izzie pouted at the handsome man before her. "I love you too." She said and kissed his lips soundly. "But I'm still angry at you."
"So does that mean Alex gets angry sex?" He asked with a big smirk covering his lips.
"Izzie would be happy to oblige." She responded, leading him to their bed.
