Ben was out of the picture. And thanks to the memories that kept spewing forth like Old Faithful, so was Jai.
That was two less games she had to not think of.
Tash had been gone a long time. Even when he had seen her, that was play acting. Liza was out the door which was great because he couldn't stand her sluttiness anymore.
He was relieved he could finally focus on the woman he truly loved.
But it wouldn't happen until more of their baggage was lost and an exceptionally difficult case led them to just sitting in comfortable silence on his couch one evening.
It was whilst sitting there that their fingers twined together and his hand squeezed hers before pulling her into her side. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead.
That was all she needed and would be their first memory of together.
