Ryoma was just heading for homeroom to retrieve his forgotten homework, thankful that this dreadful day was almost over.
What day was it you ask? Well, Valentine's Day of course!
It was only dreadful because of those ruthless girls who would ambush him at the most inopportune times.
I mean it was only Valentines. Not Lets-All-Gang-Up-On-Ryoma-And-Make-Him-Take-Our-Obviously-Unwanted-Chocolates Day.
They practically shoved the chocolate down his pants to make sure he took them.
Time after time, Ryoma would suddenly find himself trapped within a circle of girls, all awaiting their chance to hand him their chocolate of love and "friendship," as they liked to call it.
Quite frankly, it was very annoying especially since these so-called fans would even go as far as to follow him to the bathroom.
The bathroom stalking was where he had to draw the line.
When he would tell them to stop, they just started giggling at one another, whispering about how cool he was, or how sexy his voice sounded.
He even went as far as to threaten them all, but did they listen? No.
It's like it didn't matter what he said, as long as he sounded "dreamy" when he said it.
Not that he knew how to sound dreamy.
That's just how his voice sounded, he told himself.
Ryoma shuddered at the mere thought of his past experiences today and hoped that this day would never, ever come again.
Finally arriving at his homeroom, Ryoma enters to find not only his homework, but also a small chocolate gift wrapped in pink.
Great, Ryoma groaned as he approached his desk, another fan.
And just when he had just finished throwing away all his other "gifts."
Scanning his desk, he found that along with the present came a letter saying,
Dear Ryoma-kun,
Happy Valentine's Day!
Sincerely, Ryuuzaki Sakuno
Ryoma pondered the name for awhile, as a pair of giant brown eyes and two braided pigtails suddenly flashed from within the depths of his memory.
"Ryuuzaki…" Ryoma muttered as a look of realization dawned in his eyes.
He then turned to look at present that accompanied the letter.
There it was, wrapped nicely in all its pink glory.
Carefully opening the box, as not to completely destroy the wrapping, he brought out a single, yet fairly, big piece of chocolate.
Staring right back at him, was a big chocolate Kiss.
Ryoma smirked at the irony as he thought,
This has got to be the sweetest Kiss I have ever gotten.
He half-smiled at the thought of how this one little 'kiss' had the power to brighten up his dreadful day.
Carefully placing the sweet 'kiss' back in its box, and storing said box neatly in his backpack, the young tennis prodigy had failed to notice the single presence nearby.
The presence of a certain girl with long braids and big brown eyes.
A girl, who had witnessed the scene between Ryoma and his newfound piece of chocolate.
A girl who went to his school.
A girl whose name rhymed with Fiyuuzaki Dakuno.
A girl who just so happened to be smiling and blushing, at this very moment.
