This is my first story for Akagami no Shirayukihime. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

It's been about a month since I've actually published anything, and if anyone who is reading Kamisama is reading this. I'm sorry. I'm at a writer's block with Kamisama. I'm halfway through chapter 9, and I have no idea how to continue, so please forgive me.

I decided that I should still write even if I'm at a writer's block with Kamisama, so I decided to write something for Akagami no Shirayukihime, which barely has any stories, compared to Prince of Tennis.

So here's my short oneshot I wrote for AnS in about 20 minutes. Hope you enjoy it!

Shirayuki hustled around the medicinal room. Ryo had told her to get some herbs together to treat a soldier that had gotten a small gash from a practice match. The sweltering Clarines heat did nothing to improve her slightly irate mood. But she forced the happy-go-lucky smile that everyone expected her to have. Yes, she was always known as forgiving a generous, but she wished she could be selfish sometimes.

After delivering the needed medicinal plants, she sat in the shade of the large tree in the courtyard, hoping to find refuge from the blistering heat. She tilted her head back, basking in the cool shade.

"Shirayuki!" yelled a voice in the near distance.

She smiled. Her mood evidently lightened. She could recognize that voice anywhere. Grinning, she opened her eyes, to see the familiar figure of her lover, no, fiancé, jogging toward her.

"Zen!" she exclaimed, "What are you doing here? I thought you were stuck in your room reading reports!"

"I was," he stated, "But I snuck out when Matsuhide wasn't looking." He winked. He settled down beside her, and her head immediately lolled to the side and rested on his shoulder.

"Besides," he said, "today is a special day! I need to be here with you! So you can at least be a bit selfish."

"You remembered?" Shirayuki asked surprised.

"How could I forget the birthday of my beloved Shirayuki?" he said softly, "is there anything you want?"

"Mmm," she said nodding, "stay with me forever."

He chuckled, "That's a given."

And leaning over, he gently kissed her. She smiled and snuggled closer to him, the heat apparently not bugging her anymore, "Then let me take a nap on your shoulder."

A/N: That was mediocre I realize. If you hate it, I understand. They r kinda ooc I realized halfway through typing it. Oh well, tell me how you like (or dislike) this fail of a drabble I wrote. Any feedback will make me happy!
