My alias is Amy. You know why I can't tell you my real name. Actually, it wouldn't matter if I did. I could shout it to the whole world. The Yeerks already know who I am, so it doesn't matter.
Here's the thing. The Yeerks are real. Yeah. I know you've heard this about one million times and you're tired of it but I'm telling you, the Yeerks ARE real. And so is everything else.
I found an entrance to the Yeerk pool at my community center and went down to investigate and to take pictures with my cell phone. I had a good plan to begin with but I was so nervous that I wasn't thinking clearly. My plan was to pretend to be voluntary and make it appear as if I were texting someone, when I was really taking pictures. Instead of going to the voluntary section I hid in a dark corner until someone found me.
After that I was infested. They took my cell phone. Smashed it against the wall. Looked like it was the end for me.
Nine days later, by some lucky miracle, I escaped. As they were taking me back to the infestation pier I struggled free and made a run for it. I was lucky the Hork-Bajir didn't have a Dracon Beam. He did leave me a nice souvenir on my arm.
Anyway, now I'm living on the run. I'm using a library computer right now. I've been sleeping during the day in places like dumpsters and warehouses and traveling at night to be safe. I can't risk anyone recognizing me. The only time I show my face in public is when I'm shopping, using the library computer, or taking the bus somewhere.
I'm not sure where I'm going or why. I want to form a resistance but I don't know if that's possible, because I'm completely defenseless. I have a feeling this is my last chance. But I'll do what I can to fight.
Here's what I do and don't know:
K.A. Applegate is a Controller. I presume she was free at the time she started the series. My Yeerk wouldn't answer when I asked him about that.
The Animorphs have disappeared. The Yeerks are planning on sending a search party to look for them. They've been missing since late march. But this means that they are most likely alive and safe.
The Yeerks have started hunting down rebels and believers. One of them said something about IP tracking. They didn't care as much about us believers before, but now they're getting serious. My friend was infested a day after I was. She believed in them as well.
I have to leave now. I might be back soon. I'll be sure to get on, especially if I have news or useful information.
