"It's been only two days, since Evelyn Mercer's death and it already seems like a lifetime. One of the greatest people in Detroit gun downed at a store. A saint to the under privalage in town.A woman who would help anyone who needed it. Over the years, she even helped me. Took me in when my parents or should I say drug addition Mom dumped me out on the cold streets of Detroit. I've been through stuff some people would never think of, but I've over come it and I have Evelyn to thank for that. She was the only woman who gave a damn and I'm going to miss her."

Jessica or Jess stepped off of the podeumn step and took her seat next to Jack. All of the Mercers' brothers were there and had spoken except Angel, the third oldest who never smiled.

Once the funnarl was over Jack and Jess headed to Jerimiah or Jerry's house along with Bobby, the oldest.

Bobby had left town a while back, been gone for six years and loved hockey and picking on Jack. Jerry was the second oldest, the good one of the family, he had a wife, Camille, and two daughters. After him was Angel and then there was Jack, the youngest, he was in a band and had been through the worst. All the guys were good looking on some level but to Jess, Jack was the most.

Bobby had given Jack many nicknames: Jackie, Cracker Jack, and even fairy, possibly the last one because he teased Jack about being gay.

Jack was standing on the side walk alittle way away smoking a cigaretteand sharing it with Jess, who was standing beside him. Bobby slowly walked up up to the two of them. "you alright?" Bobby asked looking at Jack. Jack just nodded his head but Bobby continued with the questions, "you sure?" agian Jack just nodded his head. Bobby then turned to Jess and asked,"You alright too, Jess?" "Five by Five" was all Jess responded. "Okay let's go see Jerry." Bobby said back. And with that , the three of them headed toward the house, were Jerry was standing outside.
