Simanette is actually my favorite couple in the fandom, but I love writing Alvittany one-shots. Somewhat inspired by Nicki Minaj's entitled song, I've decided to write yet another AxB one-shot. Enjoy!
Catch Me
Brittany Miller walked across the street to the Seville's household and ringed the doorbell.
Alvin had invited her over to his house earlier today so that they could watch a scary movie together (without Dave knowing, of course). When he had heard a ring from the doorbell, he felt a smirk spread across his face as he walked to the door and opened it. Standing there was the pink-clad Chipette with her hand on her hip.
"Hey, Brittany," said Alvin.
Brittany rolled her eyes. "Hey, Alvin," she said impatiently as she swiftly walked right passed him without any second glance given. She went straight to the couch and plopped down with her arms folded across her chest. Alvin rolled his eyes as he went to the kitchen to get some refreshments and popcorn ready.
A few minutes later, Alvin came into the living-room with two Cokes and the popcorn and sat down next to Brittany, placing the drinks on the coffee table. Brittany looked at everything that was laid out. "What about the butter?" she asked as she noticed there wasn't any on the seasoned popcorn.
Alvin sighed dramatically and grabbed the bowl of popcorn and took it to the kitchen to pour some butter on the popcorn. When Alvin came back, the twelve-year-old Chipette was sitting back comfortably with her arms still folded.
"There," Alvin insisted as he set the bowl between them. "Anything else?"
"Yes." Brittany looked up at her counterpart. "Can I have a strawberry soda this time?" she said, trying not to sound too demanding.
"Uh, sure…" Alvin replied, a little baffled that she wanted a different beverage instead of Coke. He went back to the kitchen for the third time and replaced it with a strawberry soda when he came back. He narrowed his eyes slightly at Brittany. "Anything else?"
"Nope," Brittany simply answered.
Alvin sighed with relief and was glad that he finally could sit down. He grabbed the remote that was to the DVD player and pressed play, and the movie began.
After twenty minutes into watching the horror movie, Brittany and Alvin's eyes were wide with fear, and they hadn't taken one bite from their popcorn yet. And when the scariest part abruptly flashed on the wide screen, Brittany and Alvin held on to each other for dear life and screamed.
"No more! I can't watch this anymore!" Brittany cried as she quickly grabbed the remote and turned off the DVD player. And Alvin couldn't agree more.
The two twelve-year-olds tried steadying their breathing. Alvin's arms were wrapped tightly around the Chipette from the jumpscare that had happened. Brittany looked at him up and down in confusion and surprise with wide blue eyes.
Alvin blinked twice at her before noticing the awkward proximity of their bodies and immediately let go of her. "S-sorry…"
Brittany also blinked twice, trying to suppress the warmth beginning to blotch her cheeks. "Can we watch something that I'd rather watch now?" she suggested huffily, turning her body away to face the TV screen.
Alvin rolled his eyes in exasperated annoyance, knowing that she would probably pick a movie that was romantic and lovey-dovey. "Whatever, Britt."
Brittany gave him a smug smile before getting up to look through the movies that were on the DVD shelf, and—to Alvin's disdain—found a romantic movie and put it into the DVD player. She pressed play on the remote and the movie began after they skipped the pointless previews.
About a good fifteen minutes later, Alvin was already bored with the movie. He went to reach for some popcorn that was in the bowl without looking and grabbed something, but it wasn't popcorn. It was something softer, smoother. He glanced to see what he had really grasped, and it was Brittany's hand.
He looked up at Brittany, who had a bewildered expression on her face. Alvin knew his cheeks were abashedly turning many shades of red. Inevitably, Brittany began to blush a deep pink herself.
"Uh… W-why are you holding my hand?" she asked, her voice nearly quavering from being under Alvin's deep-blue gaze.
The boy could see the Chipette's icy blue eyes glistening questionably. Alvin felt so flustered that he didn't know what to say or do. After a while, Brittany's features gradually softened as she held his stare, their eyes remained locked. Neither realized it as it happened, but they both moved their faces closer to one another's, and their lips met into a soft kiss.
They immediately pulled away from one another. The red-clad and pink-clad hastily searched the other's eyes for some answer as to if the two had done something wrong. After looking into each other's eyes for reassurance, they realized that all they could see was the same spark confined within themselves.
They shyly moved in for another kiss, and Alvin found himself wrapping his arms around his counterpart's waist once again, and Brittany found herself gently grabbing handfuls of his red hoodie unsurely.
They kept their lips pressed together, not really knowing what else to do since they were undoubtedly each other's first kiss. But they both were secretly happy. Their kiss was graceless, yet delicate and sweet, tasting like a mixture of cherries and strawberries.
When a few more seconds had passed (which had felt like hours), the two finally broke away, both adorning rosy blushes.
"Wow…" was all that Brittany could think of saying after a soft, bashful chuckle escaped from her. Her heart leapt within her chest as she felt herself starting to smile.
Alvin bit his lip to keep from smiling too hard. His heart began to flutter as well. "That was…amazing," he whispered, growing uncharacteristically shy, but he didn't care. He felt…giddy, yet content at the moment.
Both of them felt giddily content.
Brittany's eyes twinkled as her smile grew before she leaned forward and gave Alvin another brief, tender kiss to his lips. "I agree."
Short, but cute one-shot. :) Reviews are appreciated!
