Family Fishing Trip
A Glee Fan Fiction.
Description: Burt wants to take his family on a fishing trip but when Kurt is sketchy about going, Burt says guests are welcome. Kurt takes Blaine and Finn takes Rachel, does all end well?
It was dinner time in the Hummel house and tonight, they had a guest, Blaine Anderson. About 5 minutes into dinner Burt spoke up.
"So Kurt, how about you, me, Carol, and Finn go on a family fishing trip?" Burt said and Kurt almost gaged on the food he was eating. He started coughing and Blaine (who was sitting next to him) started patting him on the back.
"Kurt, are you ok?" Burt asked when Kurt stopped coughing.
"Yeah," Kurt said sitting back in his chair. "Why do you want to go on a fishing trip?" Kurt asked.
"Well, I think it would be nice to spend some quality time with each other." Burt said. Kurt looked over at Blaine with a face that seemed to say "Help, me!" Blaine just shrugged slightly. Burt knew that since Kurt admitted he was gay, he didn't tend to do the same stuff he used to. Up until Kurt was a freshman, they used to go fishing every summer together, sometimes they'd be gone for days, weeks. Now, Kurt just wasn't into it anymore. Burt could tell if he didn't say something Kurt wouldn't want to go.
"You can take your Boyfriend here if you want." Burt said.
"Dad!" Kurt looked over at Blaine and blushed. Kurt could see Blaine was blushing as he returned the glance.
"And Finn you could take your girlfriend, uhh, what's her name again?" Burt said, ignoring the fact that Kurt and Blaine where trying to hide the fact that they were holding hands under the table.
"R-Rachel." Finn said uncomfortably, he was looking at Kurt who was whispering into Blaine's ear and Blaine was smiling.
"Umm, I'm finished," Kurt said standing up and grabbing his plate.
"Oh, I am to." Blaine said and followed Kurt to the sink where they both discarded their plates.
"We'll be in my room." Kurt said as Blaine followed him to his room.
Kurt sat on his bed and Put his hands over his face as he rested his elbows on his legs. Blaine walked over and sat down next to him.
"What's wrong?" Blaine said. Kurt looked up at him.
"I really don't want to fish, I mean, it was fun when I was younger bout now…" Kurt trailed off and Blaine put his arm around him.
"Who said we had to fish?" Blaine said cocking his head.
"Blaine… it's not just that, I don't want to have to spend a few days on a boat, I mean, my hair will get messed up and there are NO right clothes to wear when fishing." Kurt said and Blaine just stared at him with a smile. He was cute when he was concerned over those little things.
"Kurt," Blaine said before Kurt could continue to ramble.
"Blaine, do you even want to go?" Kurt asked. Blaine just shrugged.
"Yeah why not? It could be a great opportunity for me to get to know your family better." Blaine said. Kurt just stared at him with bright blue eyes for what seemed like forever. Blaine cleared his throat and stood up, taking his arm off of Kurt's shoulders.
"Uhh, I should be going… it's getting late." Blaine said. "I'll see you later ok?" Blaine said exiting and Kurt just smiled and through himself to a laying position on his bed. Maybe the trip won't be all bad.
