Author's Pre-story Ramble: I rather like Sango and Miroku. They make such a fun couple. I hope you enjoy this little chapter I cooked up!

Sango sighed for what seemed the thousandth time. Her dear friend, Kagome, glanced over at the yokai hunter with some concern. "Are you alright?" Kagome asked gently.

Startled, Sango turned her head to face her friend. "Oh, what? Er..I'm fine! Totally fine!" she blurted out, trying to cover up little space out. The horrible monk did that to her. She did not know why, well, actually she did, but never would the girl admit that Miroku made her so flustered.

"Right," Kagome said sarcastically, "And that little lovelorn sigh there means nothing I suppose?"

Blushing from the roots of her hair down to the soles of her feet, Sango stammered, "W-what? Lovelorn? Me? I don't think so!"

Shaking her head at the ridiculousness of the elder girl, she lectured, "Denial is an ugly thing, Sango-chan. Why don't you just admit it? You're attracted to Miro-" She was cut off by a hand quickly placed over her mouth.

"Shhh!" Sango commanded with fear in her eyes. "Don't say that! I don't want him to know!"

"Aha!" Kagome exclaimed, after forcing the restricting hand away. "So I was right!" Sobering a little at the look on her friend's face, she said much more quiet and softly, "You should tell him. He loves you." Smirking, she added, "And I think he's totally serious about wanting to make babies with you!"

Sango's eyes opened very wide with shock. "You can't be serious! That lecher can't love me!"

"Why not? You're beautiful, courageous, and strong. And probably the single woman in Japan that could keep him out of trouble." Kagome rested her head on her chin as she contemplated the idea of Sango and Miroku being together. "You and he would have very lovely babies. And you'd be happy, really happy."

They would have a family, Sango thought. Kohaku had survived only by the grace of the Tensaiga, but the two of them alone did not make a village. In order to restart the yokai hunter village, there would be a need for many people. There would be a need for children to train and a legacy to begin. She would have to marry someone and bear many bright-eyed children. Miroku was a powerful monk with a strong spirit. He would make a good husband, once she learned to settle the man down. A family would help.

Kagome grinned at the contemplative look on her face. "So, are you going to tell him?"

Smiling back, Sango replied, "Yes, I will. He better not kick up a fuss, because I have a lot of plans for him!"
