A Moment in Time

The sound of a crying baby could be heard and Zuko simply smiled to himself. Thinking back he could remember the day she was created perfectely, it was ynexpected to say the least, but very much welcome...
"Zuko what in the world do you think your doing? You're supposed to be teaching Aang firebending." Katara scolded him as she bustled around their campsite, "The comet will be here in two days."
All Zuko could do was look at her, admireing her beauty. He didn't even register what she had said for a few minutes. "Katara, Aang is missing. We can't find him." He told her as gently as he could when he finally came back down to earth.
"What do you mean he's missing?" Katara turned away from him, not daring herself to look at him in this moment... it would feel too much like a betrayal to Aang.
"He dissapeared a few hours ago and he hasn't come , Sokka and I have searched everywhere for him." Zuko told her as he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "We can't head out again to look for him until the morning."
Katara turned in his arms and quickly gave him a soft kiss, "I hope he's ok."
"O know he will be... He has to be." Zuko said smiling down at her. "Come on to bed there's nothing we can do for now."
Nodding her head Katara followed Zuko into his room for the night.
Zuko shook his head of the memory and picked up his little girl. Giving her a kiss and told her, "You look so much like your mommy, my little Katara. I love you so much."
