Yes this is a crack pairing. I had a small discussion with a friend on the SDM's pairings and went I got PatchyXKoakuma out it was said that pairing was too normal and boring. So it ended like this:
"-What about PatchyXByakuren?
-How would that be even possible?
-Well Patchouli has purple hair and Byakuren has partly purple hair. And they're both magicians...

-Bet I can write a fanfic on that"

Story is from Patchouli's perspective

I must be stupid. I followed Marisa all the way here. Lately, she rarely came to visit the library... "Not that I mind too much since it means she's stealing less books" is what I would like to say but truth is, it's bothering me.

So I followed her here on this weird flying ship. But now I got kind of lost and my asthma is starting to act up. This could be trouble.

-Ara? Are you lost youkai-san?

I heard a soft voice coming from behind. A soft, soothing and beautiful voice. I turned around only to find these did not only applied to the voice. In front of me stood a woman with strong eyes gleaming with pure innocence, harboring an apaising smile.

-Is this your ship? I'm sorry for intruding but I'm looking for someone

Maybe I'm too used to this kind of response but I instinctively reached for my spellcards

-Someone? If you tell me who it is, I might be able to help.

-Huh? Ah... hum I'm looking for Marisa... *cough*

She didn't seem like she wants to start a danmaku duel. Surprising coming from any Gensokyo resident but I heard they just got here last year. And seeing as I already find it hard to breathe, it is a bit of a relief.

-Ah Marisa just left. You just missed her. Are you okay?

-I'm just a bit asthmatic that's *cough* all. Now if you'll *cough* excuse *cough* me *cough*

Coming here was really stupid. I slowly felt my body falling... but instead of hitting the floor, there was this soft sensation and I could faintly hear the lovely voice

-Don't worry, I'll take care of you

I stopped resisting and closed my eyes.

I woke up in an unfamiliar bed. For a short moment, I wondered where I was but quickly remembered what happened.

-Ara finally awake? That's a relief!

I turned my head to the left only to see those charming gentle eyes on me.

-Feeling better?

-Yes. Why did you take care of me? We don't know each other...

-Byakuren, Hijiri Byakuren. It's not a problem anymore right?

-Patchouli, Patchouli Knowledge. Thank you for what you did

-Patchouli... What a cute sounding name. Almost as cute as you are.

I could feel myself blushing like I never did before.

-Patchouli-san, want a ride back home? This ship can go anywhere you want it too. Surely you have some medication at home to make you feel better?

-Yes, it would appreciate that.

We stayed silent for a minute or 2. And then we both hesitantly spoke at the same time.

We both laughed a bit.

This woman has so much effect on me it seems. I want to know more about her, that's all I could think of right now.
