A/N: Hey everyine!~ This is my entry for Zutara Week Day 1~
Serendipity is the theme.
She use to hate him, that's what she told herself though. When she found out who killed her mother she was furious, with herself, or them? She didn't know. She didn't know much these day. All she knew was that she wanted revenge, her mother shouldn't have been killed. He was there though, he guided her, and was there when she just needed somebody to understand.
Zuko...
The man she didn't trust at all. The man who kidnapped, and chased her friends all around the world to regain his father's love, his country's honor. Yet, he understood. He took her in his arms and brought her to the man who killed her mother. He didn't care if she killed him, or she left him be. He just knew that she needed that moment, to confront the killer. To see how weak of a man he was.
She respected that. She knew in that moment that Zuko was more of a man then that old man was. He was a strong, fierce, helpful firebender who made his way into her heart.
She wouldn't deny that.
She could list forever the difference between Aang, and Zuko. Zuko didn't push, he guided her, though the water and pain. Aang would push her, and push until she cracked.
Katara stood up off the ground and brushed the dirt off her clothing. She looked around and saw Zuko, and smiled. Walking over she asked softly. "Can I talk to you for a second, Zuko?"
"Sure?" He silently followed her to a room located off the main room of the Western Air Temple.
Shutting the door with a soft click Katara smiled and said softly. "Thankyou."
"For what?"
"Understanding." Katara smiled and walked towards him. Then pressed her lips gently to his, which he gladly returned.
