Bugs that's what hurt and make people sick, but if they can be prevented then maybe people should do whatever it takes to help prevent bad epidemics like measles out breaks, a few weeks ago a young boy was brought into the all saints emergency department with respiratory distress and flu like symptoms, no one knew what it was until tests revealed it to be measles, after vigorous talking with the incompetent mother, she told them that her son hadn't been vaccinated for measles and other serious illnesses that could kill people, and it was infectious to people to.
Two weeks later
Cate McMasters woke up on a busy Monday morning, she looked around her flat then she looked to her clock and she seen the time it read 7:30 am she slept through her alarm, she rushes to get out of bed and flings on clothes, she grabs a drink of water to refresh her dry mouth and that's when she notices she felt ill, as soon as she drank the water she ran to the toilet and threw whatever was left in her stomach along with the painkillers she just taken.
After ten minutes of vomiting she plucked up the courage to take a throat tablet for her sore throat, she looked into the mirror at her appearance, to her she looked like death warmed up, she was pale bags under her eyes, and every time she tried to take a breath she went into a coughing fit, her lungs ached, she knew these symptoms weren't good but she got on with it and she went to work not thinking about it.

All saints emergency department
Frank campion walked around his department he looked to the full beds and then he seen the issue in most of the occupied beds, all of the patients were young children, presenting with flu like symptoms.
"hey Gabrielle have we got an outbreak" asks frank?
"what do you mean frank" asks Gabrielle?
"I mean most of the patients we are treating are presenting with flu like symptoms and they are mostly kids under the age of ten" says frank.
"yeah but if they all have the same illness then we have a ground zero for the outbreak but were" asks Gabrielle?
Zoe walks over to the nurse's station and she sees her friends talking and then she gets blood results for two of her patients and she is shocked to see the two patients have the same illness.
"hey zoe what's up with you" asks frank?
"err you know we may have an outbreak somewhere" says zoe.
"thank you but what is the infection" asks frank?
"measles, two of my patients tested positive for measles" answers Zoe.
"great test all the kids in here now for the same thing, then call ambulance operations and say we are closed to majors, but we will take anyone with symptoms of measles" explains frank.
Everyone gets on with their jobs.

Cate walked into headquarters only to be met by her frustrated and angry partner heath, because she made him stand around waiting in the cold for half an hour since she was late to work, but he soon changed his demeanour of her when he saw her facial features and how sick she looked, or she was severely hungover or she was in the bathroom throwing up violently to make herself look pale.
"finally, my partner decides to grace us with her presence" says heath sarcastically.
"piss off heath" answers Cate in a low and tired voice.
"ooh ok techy, what's gotten into you today" asks heath in a scared voice.
Cate walks off to change her clothes, a few minutes later she returns in her uniform.
"you driving today then" asks heath?
"err can you drive today please, I just don't feel 100% that's all" says cate.
Heath jumps in the driver's seat, while cate gets into the passenger seat, they set off and drive around waiting for a call out, as he was driving heath chirped up and started to talk to cate about her life and the way she looks at the moment.
"so, was it a big night last night then" asks Heath?
"what do you mean" asks cate?
"I mean you came in late and you look hungover if the bosses seen you, they would have you" says heath.
"for your information heath i didn't have a big night out, I just don't feel well today" answers cate.
"oh, right well you should have called in sick" says heath.
"am fine as long as I am working" says cate.
"so, what's the symptoms" asks heath?
"err headache, sore throat all the symptoms you would expect from the flu, achy joints tiredness, nausea" answers cate.
"what about a temperature" asks heath.
"don't know not checked" answers cate.
Heath pulls the vehicle over to the side of the road, he jumps in the back and grabs a thermometer and he comes back to his seat and places it into cate's ear the machine beeps and sighs at the results.
"so, what does it say" asks cate?
"it is 39.9 you need to take something to bring it down" says heath.
"i did" answers cate.
"when" asks heath?
"this morning about half an hour to an hour ago" answers cate.
"well they should have taken affect by know" answers heath in a confused voice.
"yeah well they would've if I didn't throw them straight back up" answers cate.
"okay so you have been vomiting" asks heath?
"yeah" answers cate.
"any other symptoms I need to know about" asks heath?
"no" answers cate.
"are you sure because if you lie to me know then I will turn this vehicle around and take you to all saints so a doctor can examine you thoroughly" threatens heath.
"fine some abdominal cramps, they come and go" answers cate.
Before heath and cate could continue their conversation, they get a call out to a young lad who is injured at home.
Heath and cate respond to the call out, and soon they head to the address.

Heath and cate arrive at the house they grab all the necessary bags from the van, when they get to the door and they knock on the door, soon a middle aged women answers the door, heath notices the women is high, they walk past the women in to the living room where they find they young boy unconscious, on the floor lay down in a pool of his own vomit.
"Hello ambulance service" says Heath walking to the boy in the process greeting the belligerent parents, who seem to be out of it.
"Please hurry it's my boy he is so sick" sobs the jittery women.
"okay what happened "asks cate trying to soothe the women?
"What just please help him" says women declining to answer cate's question.
"We can't help him until you tell us what he has taken" states cate getting angry.
"Hey bitch just help him okay; we don't have to answer to you or your stupid pal over there" shout jittery partner.
"hey asshole we are here to help your child, and at the moment me and my partner can't help him because we haven't got all the facts, now I don't care what you shoot up in your veins or snort up your nose, but I do care about this lad, he looks to me that he has taken something" shouts cate.
"Hey bitch get out of my face and get out of my house" says the now violent jittery man, but not before he lands a swift blow to her abdomen.
Soon cate bends over clutching her side, groaning through the pain of the hefty blow she just took from this man.
Heath looks to the man and then to his partner, he goes over to cate, he places a hand on her back making sure she is breathing properly.
"cate you okay" asks heath placing a reassuring hand to her shoulder.
"ahh yeah just got winded, possible bruised rib" answers cate in a breathless voice.
Heath goes back to the boy but then the guy goes to cate and starts hassling her.
"hey now leave my partner alone, all we want to know is what he has taken, if we wait any longer your son will die because I don't believe it's just an simple od, I think there is something else wrong with him, so please tell us what he's taken then we can help him and get him to the hospital for treatment before he gets bad" shouts heath trying to be the peacemaker.
"okay he took coke he found our stash and helps himself to them, but I didn't know he was going to take them, but please save my baby" sobs mother.
Cate gets up once she recovered from the punch to the guts.
"Ok what's your name" asks Cate?
"Missy… missy Blake, and this is Damon my partner, and this is my son little Alfie" answers women introducing her whole family to them.
"Ok missy I need to know has Alfie been ill before today" asks Heath?
"Err yeah he complained of a headache, tiredness and achy joints, I thought he was trying to bunk of school, but I check this morning and he had a temperature" explains mum.
"What was his temperature at on the last reading" asks Heath?
"Err about 100.1" answers Missy.
"okay i am going to carry your son in my arms, we need to get him to hospital quickly" states heath grabbing the boy and making a mad dash with him towards the ambulance with cate in tow, but the parents are nowhere to be scene.
Heath radios to base and asks them to relay a message about the patient, who has an illness that maybe contagious, since he is showing the same symptoms as cate.

Ambulance operations received heaths call, but what they didn't tell him was that the emergency department was on lockdown due to a measles outbreak.

The red phone rang Gabrielle answered it, she wrote down the details and all the symptoms of the patient matched half of the patients in the er, so she granted the ambulance access to the hospital.
Gabrielle rushes off to her office where she finds frank.
"frank we have an incoming" says Gabrielle.
"Gabrielle may I remind you we are on lockdown until we get the all clear and we are not taking ambulances" says frank.
"i know but we have another case coming in by ambulance" says Gabrielle.
"great once it gets here don't let the ambulance officers leave, they have been exposed" says frank.
