Central City
Central City. One of the largest cities and largest metropolitan areas, in terms of population, in the United States. An international center for science, politics, theater, music, fashion, finance, and technology. The city is home to a few attractions such as The Flash, S.T.A.R. Labs and their biggest rival, Horizon Labs.
Central City has been through a lot in recent years with the uproar of Metahumans and the discovery of alien foes who want to take over the planet or even worse, destroy the planet. For a while, it has also home to many superheroes and villains which means danger for those without abilities and destruction. It has also seen Alien invasions with the intent to destroy the city, along with the planet, but heroes like The Justice League have stopped these Invasions and defended the earth many times over. No matter what, it seems like no one could take away the hope in Central City.
Or at least, that's what the news says.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The noise came from an alarm clock in a bedroom of a 2-story, 4-bedroom home and 3-bathroom home in Central City. The walls had a beige-like color and the room had a brown wood-like finish on a lot of the furniture in the room. The noise from the alarm made him groggily reach out his arm and quickly press down on the button making it beep one more time for confirmation. He exhaled as he rose up out of bed. The boy stood up groaning as he stretched. He had somewhat of a tanned skin complexion with brown hair and brown eyes. Currently, his hair was messy but when he actually did his hair it would look nice. He had a dark 5 o'clock shadow on his face.
"Hey Adrian, Are you up sweetheart?" His mother called out from downstairs making him smile as he got up out of bed.
"Yes, mom. I'm up." He replied as he stood up out of bed. He was 5'11 and weighed about 170 with a swimmer like build. It was a natural build and he sometimes wondered how he was able to get a build like that without working up.
He walked over to his closet and opened the curtains of his closet.
"Another day. Another day." He muttered to himself as he looked around his closet.

After a near hour-long experience in the bathroom, Adrian walked down the stairs. His face had finally been shaven and it gave him a face with a clean, smooth feel to it. He did his hair and he did it in the form of a comb-over. He wore blue jeans with brown leather boots and a black and white striped sweater with the sleeves rolled up.
"Finally, you're out! I almost feel like I had a girl in the house." Catherine joked as she looked at him with her glasses on her face. Catherine had pale skin with a light undertone of a tan with blue eyes and blonde hair. She was dressed in her purple button up shirt with her sleeves rolled up and a black pencil skirt with black heels.
He rolled his eyes and he walked towards the table and picked up the cereal box off the table and poured his cereal into the bowl and poured his milk into the bowl.
"For the record, being this cute takes time." He said as he then used his spoon to eat.
"Well, you need to be less cute and more into your school work." She said making him chuckle.
"Come on, I pass all the test and quizzes."
"Adrian." She said making him look up at her slowly. She gave him a look that told him everything that he needs to know just then.
"Look mom, I'll try to get to class but sometimes I just can't."
"Oh no, you can but you hang around those hooligans that can cost you your future. And I'm not gonna let you end up like that son, you're a smart man and I'm not gonna let you fail."
"Mom, I promise you I won't." He said as he looked up at his mom and smiled. She grabbed his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze as she smiled before she got up and walked towards the kitchen.
"I need you to watch your sister tonight." She said as she started to fix herself another cup of coffee while he groaned. As much as he loved his 6-year-old sister, there were times where he wanted "me time".
"Come on, she's old enough to watch herself besides I got this thing to do with Kevin." He pleaded as his mom turned around and sent him another look.
"Kevin. Kevin Dunn? Kevin Dunn as the Kevin who got arrested this summer for Arson. No, absolutely not."
"Come on mom, at least I'm making friends. And technically, I can't die from a little bit of fire."
"But you can damn sure die from a speeding bullet and that's the kind that you're making. The friends that lead you to die. And I don't want to have to come to a funeral."
"I really don't want to argue with you mom because I value my life and my ears, so I'll watch the brat but only if you promise me one thing." She sighed after she heard his response.
"What child?"
"Take me and your daughter to Horizon Labs."
"My job? Why would you want to go there?"
"Well, you did promise 2 months ago on my birthday that you would take me to Horizon Labs on a tour. I can keep Cathy company and keep her attention while you do your work stuff."
"Wow, my own son is trying to blackmail me." His mom said as she shook her head and looked at him with fake disappointment.
"What can I say I was raised by a smart woman. I got to go I have to go pick up Roni. I'll see you later." He said as he walked over to his mom and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he walked towards the door and grabbed his backpack and left. His mom looked at the door as he walked out and shook her head.
"That boy will be the death of me." Catherine said as she then walked towards stairs and yelled upstairs.
"Hey Cathy come downstairs if you want to get some breakfast before school." Catherine yelled.

Catherine stood in her lab currently typing on her laptop getting some information on the newest innovation being created by Horizon Labs. It was supposed to be their way to combat the Doomsday monster and anything else of the magnitude. But it could only do that if they could actually make it work.
"Damnit." Catherine cursed as she looked on at the information on her computer. Just as she started to say every curse word in her vocabulary, her partner Jared Hall walked into the lab. Jared Hall was an African American male with caramel colored skin and a black goatee. He had dark brown eyes and wore his lab coat with blue button-down and black slacks with black dress shoes.
"Hey Catherine, calm down it's just one failed experiment. We have till 8 to reveal the final product."
"I don't know if it's smart to unveil this on the same night that STAR Labs reveals their Fusion Reactor."
"Yeah well, Dr. Mac wanted to reveal it. And as the Head of the Applied Science's division and Vice President of this company, I guess we have to listen to the guy even if we don't like it."
"It sucks having a boss." Catherine joked making Jared chuckle as well before he walked over to the computer and took a look at her work.
"Ah, I see what happened. You forget to add the DNA Polymerase." Jared said making Catherine sigh.
"For someone so smart, I forgot something so simple." Catherine said. Jared chuckled before he started to type on the computer.
"My son and I bought these tickets this morning to see that new Zombie movie."
"The Rise of Planet Z? Adrian has been talking nonstop about going to see that movie." Catherine said as she took off her glasses and rubber her eyes.
"Really, He should come with us tonight, I can buy his ticket." Jared said as he kept his eyes on the screen.
"Tonight, he's actually coming here with Cathy. He was supposed to babysit her at home but the little brat blackmailed me into letting him come here." Jared chuckled as he turned his head and looked at his lab partner.
"Well, I think that's good. He'll come here to get some exposure to the future that we're creating. Not to mention, it gets him away from those hooligans that you told me about."
"Yeah well, that is the goal. Besides I did promise him 2 months ago on his birthday that I would take him. And who knows he might actually let that nerd free and stop trying to play Mr. Cool Guy for one second."
"Teenagers. Gotta love 'em and hate 'em."
"Got that right partner."

After a 20-minute drive, Adrian pulled into the parking lot of the school with Veronica Mason, his best friend, sitting on his passenger side of his 2016 Red Ford Mustang. Veronica had to be about 5'8 feet tall and had dark brown hair and brown eyes with tanned skin. She wore black leather boots with blue jeans a brown belt and a black sleeveless top but she had a red jacket covering her.
"Okay before we go in, I have to ask you something. It's about Brad's party-" She was saying but Adrian cut her off hastily.
"No. I'm not going." Adrian answered bluntly.
"Why not?"
"I can think of many reasons really. I hate that cold-hearted bastard. I don't want to go just for him to flirt with you the entire time. I have to babysit my sister. This one is the most important, every time I go to one of Brad's parties something Bad happens to me. Bad! Notice the emphasis I put on it." Adrian said as his voice tone increased as well almost to the point where it seemed like shouting.
"Brad's not going to flirt with me." She said.
"Ronnie that's all he does with you. He flirts with you in the hallway, at lunch, after school. Hell, even when you try to save me a seat in class, he tries to take my seat and flirt with you." He said making her roll her eyes.
"Well maybe if you happened to actually come to class, he would get the message and back away. And besides you have to babysit tonight so you can't."
"Look I can bring the twerp with me. Somehow keep her close and keep her occupied and try to somehow get her to keep her mouth shut."
"No Adrian, I can't let you do that."
"Why not? You wanted me to go and I'm offering you a way to get what you want."
"What I really want is to just chill with some Big Belly Burger and watch some TV. The only reason, I'm going to the party is because Russell asked me to go."
"Russell as in our former friend, Russell?"
"Yeah."
"Well, in that case Ronnie, how about this? You ditch Russ and do what you truly want to do so come with me and my sister tonight. We're going to Horizon Labs and I can promise you some Big Belly Burger, I don't know about TV but who needs TV when you have me." He said as he flashed her his signature smile. She giggled at his response and nodded.
"Sure. Pick me up around 7 and we can go."
"Alright deal." Ronnie then turned around to walk to the door. Adrian took a good look at the brunette looking her up and down taking note of her body. She had a body that most girls her age had wished for. A body with lean and frim legs that didn't take away any of the attention from her famine curves with no trace of fat. Even for a girl her age she did have a well-developed chest area.

Adrian walked through the hallways flashing his toothy grin after he just aced his paper on the importance of Molecular Biology. He would occasionally smile at a girl in the hallway. It had become known that Adrian was a known charmer. It wasn't completely on purpose even though sometimes he did do it on purpose. His looks happened to be a real turn-on for most girls at Central City High School.
While walking he saw a blonde leaning up against the locker. She had ice blue eyes and pale blonde hair with high cheekbones. She had lean, legs with fat in all the place and a flat stomach with a chest that brought the attention of many guys.
"Scientist have recently found that a single mutation in a long gene sequence by the name of KIT ligand can cause a change in physical appearance. Primarily hair." Adrian said as he walked towards the locker next to the girl.
"A gentleman would at least tell his name first." She said as she looked at Adrian with an annoyed look.
"My name is Adrian. Adrian Reese. How do you do?" Adrian flirted as he grabbed at the woman's hand and gently shook it.
"Brittany." The blonde replied with a smile while she looked Adrian in his eyes this time with a different attitude.
"Blonde hair is caused by the mutation of the name of KIT ligand but I have to say it you look beautiful and believe me you stand out in a crowd. I have news for you Brittany, you are one of a kind." Adrian said.
"First you spit out some scientific facts to boost your male ego without introducing yourself first then you proposition a girl. Tell me, how is that flirtation technique working for you?" Brittany said with as her brow furrowed.
"I'll tell you after a date." Adrian smiled making the girl Brittany giggle as she then looked down at the floor. Seeming like out of nowhere, Veronica came out of nowhere and walked towards Adrian locking her arm around his.
"Hey babe." She said as she kissed Adrian on the cheek and then looked at Brittany, "Who are you talking to?"
Brittany simply rolled her eyes and walked away from Adrian watched as she walked away. Just as the blonde walked away Veronica unwrapped her arm from Adrian's while he exhaled.
"And the award for biggest cockblock of the year goes to Veronica Mason!" Adrian joked as the two began to walk down the hallway. Veronica smiled while Adrian had an amused look on his face.
"Someday you'll thank me for this." She said.
"Thank you for what? For keeping me from finding a girlfriend." He said.
"No for steering you away from girls that aren't the right one." She said.
"Then who is the right one?" He smirked as he turned his head and looked at Veronica. Veronica turned her head and looked Adrian in his eyes. The eyes that could look straight into her soul.
"Who knows? Maybe she's in class where you should be." Veronica said. Adrian chuckled as he walked along the hallways while Veronica stood there in the center of the hallway and watched as the brunette walked away.

After his long day at school, Adrian walked into the house with his little sister.
"Hey Cathy go upstairs and get your bag together." Adrian told his sister as he took off his bookbag and left it at the door. His sister turned around before she got to the stairs and looked at her brother.
"Where are we going?" Cathy asked. Cathy was an 6year old girl with blonde hair and brown eyes. Cathy had a pale skin tone with an underlay of tan kind of like her mom.
"We're going to Horizon Labs."
