A/N: As I put off doing my science project, I thought of this. All of these things have happened to me. I'm sure there's more too, so when I think of them, I'll post 'em. Overall, I've pretty much overdosed on band.
You know you've been in marching band too long when…
-You walk more on your heels than you used to
-You lost all feeling in your feet a long time ago
-If you're walking and music is playing, you start walking in time to the music
-You try to walk backwards and you end up marching backwards instead
-You end up half-memorizing your concert music without wanting to
-Concert season starts and your legs cramp from sitting still for too long
-You play really loud and drown out the choir (poor choir)
-Whenever someone asks something along the lines of "Do you understand?", you can't help but say, "sir yes sir!"
-Sometimes you start marching for no reason
-You're watching the cheerleaders at the football game and can't help but think "nice diagonals!"
-You walk in step with anyone near you, subconsciously
-Your friends stop talking to you because they're sick of hearing about band
-Your aforementioned friends now know everything about band because of your aforementioned talking about it
-You actually enjoy going to football games
-You look forward to band camp
-You now hate normal reeds and wish you could play on a plastic one until the end of time
-You have nothing to do anymore now that there are no more evening practices
-You actually read fanfiction about band
