Title: Pulling on Pigtails

Summary: Danny's been pulling Lindsay's pigtails a little too long.

A/N: Hey all this is my second D/L fic, tell me what ya think. I really liked this idea and I hope you do too.
"ARHG!" Lindsay moaned frustratedly, "Danny is getting so annoying, I don't know how much more I can take, Stella. I mean I like him but obviously he doesn't like me.
"Lindsay, he's just pulling on your pigtails." Stella replied.
"What?"
"You know, like when you're in primary school, the boys would always pull your heair if they liked you? Danny's just annoying you cause he knows he'll get a reaction; he's refocusing your attention onto him." Stell explained.
"Well I wish he wouldn't! Why do guys have to be so immature?"
"So we can pull them into line." Stella supplied as an answer to Lindsay's rhetorical question. "So go; go pull him into line Kiddo." Stella then instructed. Lindsay sighed as she stood up to leave in search of Danny.

"Montana!" Danny greeted as she entered their office, "Just who I wanted to see."
"Yeah, I bet." Lindsay said under her breath.
"What?"
"You know you can stop right." Lindsay said trying to be direct and failing.
"Stop what, Montana?"
"Stop 'pulling my pigtails.'" Lindsay did air quotes as she said this.
"What?" Danny asked rather confused.
"Stella said that you keep annoying me because you like me."
"Well, she's right." He half said, half murmured. Lindsay didn't know if she heard him right.
"What did you say?"
"I said she's right, I do like you."
"Um, okay, wow, so what are you going to do about that?"
"Ask you out." Danny answered matter-of-factly. After a moment of silence Lindsay spoke again.
"Well are you going to ask me or just sit there?"
"Um yeah, Montana, I mean Lindsay, will you go on a date with me?"
"Sure, I'd really like that. When and where?"
"Tonight at 7 and it's a surprise." Lindsay smiled and nodded before jotting down her address and leaving the room.

Two months later and things were going really well for Danny and Lindsay.
Lindsay was at her local coffee shop when a guy walked up to her.
"Hey, I've ummm, seen you round quite a bit and was wondering whether you would like to go out sometimes?"
"Oh, sorry, but I'm seeing someone."
"Oh, okay." The man said slightly disappointed. "Can I ask you something? How does a guy get someone as pretty as you?"
"Simple," She stated, "He pulled my pigtails."
