It was about a week after the great adventure. Claycia was restored to her formal self and Dream Land gained its colors. Elline should have been happy, but she wasn't. She felt like something was missing. She didn't feel as happy as before Claycia turned evil or during the adventure. She felt about as sad as when Claycia turned evil. She was resting in her luxury room in Green Valley, which was a series of tunnels. Her room had curtains, a lovely bed, a chandelier and she made sure the room had every color of the rainbow. She decided to get some fresh air. She passed Claycia's room, which replaced Waddle Dee's room, which now had a lot of pottery that she made. She then looked into Kirby's room. It was completely untouched, even though all that was in there was a hammock. Elline didn't get it. She was completely miserable. She tried to think of what stopped her from being miserable when Claycia was mind controlled. It was…meeting Kirby.
Was it possible she liked Kirby? Not as a friend but, as love? Claycia noticed Elline's depression. "You miss him, don't you?" Claycia was selfish, but she cared for her sister-figure. Elline responded, "Yes. He helped me when no one else did. Without him, you'd still be mind-controlled." Claycia put her hand on Elline's shoulder…well she would of if Elline had a shooulder. "Why don't you go see him? Tell him how you really feel." Claycia then grabbed a bit of clay and formed a box filled with little chocolate covered watermelons. "Give these to him." Elline decided that she had to do it. She added a bit of paint to the watermelons and box, and they became real.
Elline flew to Dream Land. It was a great place when it had color and was alive. She found Kirby looking up at a tree with apples on it. He started to jump up to grab them, when he saw Elline. He walked over to her. "Einne!" he said. He couldn't really pronounce well. Only the words Hi, Poyo, and sort of people's names. He was smart but couldn't speak another language, although this cartoon Dream Land made about him said he was a baby, the jury was still out. Elline said, "Hey Kirby…uh…I just came to thank you for helping me last week. Kirby nodded, which was hard when he was just a head, arms and feet. Elline gave the box to Kirby. He suddenly had a big grin. Kirby was gluttonous, but not selfish. He offered on to Elline. The rest were instantly inhaled. Elline thought that was cute.
"So…uh…Kirby." Kirby looked up at her. "Have you ever had a special feeling for someone?" Kirby thought of some things he cared about. He thought about a tomato, apples, watermelons, ice cream, Elline. Suddenly he wondered why Elline was the only thing he didn't like eating. Elline wasn't getting an answer. She decided to just do it. She flew over to his cheek and gave it a little peck. Kirby remembered Ribbon doing this a while back, but Elline doing it felt more special.
Kirby suddenly grew a big smile and blushed. "So, do you understand what I'm talking about, Kirby?" Kirby nodded. Elline replied, "Thank you. I will come back and visit you again soon." She opened up a portal to her world and left. Kirby had never felt this happy about anything ever, except food. He hoped she would keep her promise.
