Chapter 1

She was perfect. She was smart and pretty. Her short red hair blew in the breeze perfectly with the rest of her body. She was kind and considerate to her friends. And she didn't even know that I existed.
I was in love with her but I was an outcast. What few friends I had in my school, I struggled to keep. She wasn't the most popular girl in school either but she had many friends and I wanted to be closer to her than any of them.
She was single and so was I. there was probably no girl in school who would want to date me. I admit, I wasn't "hot" by their standards. I wasn't ugly either. I was slightly overweight, but I wasn't fat. I was smart though. I was the smartest kid in the whole 10th grade class but from what I've seen, girls don't like smart boys. They like athletes who can win trophies in sports instead of academics.
I wanted nothing more than to go on a date with her but for me, that was the hardest challenge of my life. I was an anime freak, I still am. Every day, I would go online and download chapters of different manga and graphic novels. I kept them in a perfectly organized section of my laptop.
My laptop, there was barely a second in my life in which you didn't see me with my laptop. I was always on my computer either reading manga, editing my videos, or watching classic movies that I used for inspiration.
But, that's enough about me, for now. This story isn't just about me. It's about her too. This is about the girl that I love. This is about she who knows not that I exist. This is about my sweet. This is about my Emma.
